College
My name is (to be filled by student) and I completed my college with the Canadian International
Matriculation Program or CIMP. My average total result was 87%. However, these are not the
only highlights of my college life. I received the Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Dr. Jeffrey Cheah Entrance
Scholarship. This was an important part of my college life as it gave me recognition, confidence
and a positive attitude from the very beginning of my college life. Moving forward I engaged in
the volunteer committee service. I received the Bronze award for working for more than 80 hours
combined in a 5 months duration. This was a lesson in the extra-curricular or socially productive
activities that one can engage in along with the academic life. I learnt from college life that there
are many other dimensions of self-development along with academic development. The skills I
learnt from my college life endeavors were perseverance, goal orientation, positive thinking and
analytical problem solving attitude.
University life
Currently I am engaged in doing my majors in Management and Innovation from the University
of Victoria in Melbourne. The anticipated graduation date is November 2020. Thus, it can be
said that there is still significant time left for me to further develop my learning and skills. I want
to achieve further breakthroughs in life through the completion of this course. Moreover, I want
this course to be one of the crowning achievements of my life. Already this course have helped
me to understand deeply about the basic elements connected with management. The innovative
approaches that I learnt about already would greatly enhance the prospects of my life. I
personally want to become a part of a management team. Moving forward I would like to

become a leader in my own company in the cosmetics and beauty industry. However, university
life also taught me how to become an optimally effective individual. It also taught me to look
beyond what is visible and see the bigger picture.
Extra academic
I have a diploma in Emmanuel Theology Seminary which is a Christian institution. I used to
attend the institution every Sunday morning and Wednesday night. This was an important phase
of my life as I believe being a strong academic performer and learning the basics of what
education has to offer is important but has to be complimented by religiousness to a certain
degree. Moreover, being in the religious institution helped me to stay motivated with what I was
doing. I learned that the virtue of righteousness goes hand in hand with success. The skills that I
was able to garner was staying motivated, controlling lifestyle, personal organization and being
devoted to a supreme force.
2. Employment
I started to work in the Pollywood Company after the first few months in the University of
Victoria. It is a major afforestation oriented organization. The company is hence engaged in
providing solutions to the global climate change that is occurring through investment in carbon-
right reduction. I am currently engaged as an event part-timer for this company. I have joined
every event that were held by the company. The events were medium to large scale, attracting
people that were 2000 to 5000 in number. I used to take part in the registration counter. My job
was to effectively communicate with tourists that were from countries such as China, Korea,
Japan, Phillipines, South Africa and other countries. The company was not exactly a startup but
only 6 to 7 years of experience in the field. The company wanted investments for the pollywood
become a leader in my own company in the cosmetics and beauty industry. However, university

products. The investment was made to buy a low cost sustainable environment friendly products
that caused reduced level of pollution. The application of the product on devices needed to be
explained to the customers. I was able to provide professional and friendly customer service to
the people that I interacted with. As the business was quite unique I was able to understand how
innovative businesses can achieve success and more about usage of cleaner energy sources. The
skills I learnt were communication, effective interaction and innovative approaches.
Natural health farm
This was another of my job ventures. Natural Health Farm was a chain of around 90 retail outlets
that focused on providing nutritional supplements, organic foods, healthcare products and
consultation for nutrition. I worked as a part timer in this organization. I specifically worked in
the company carnival which was for 2 day duration. Here, I took the job role of a cashier at the
registration counter. I communicated with the visiting tourists from various countries. I also had
to provide information about the company to the potential buyers. I also had to explain the
details about many of the products that were offered by the company. I had to pack the gift bags
for the buyers of the products. Here, again by virtue of my prior experience I was able to provide
even better professional customer service. I was able to learn new things about the health and
nutrition industry. Once again my communication levels improved greatly. I was also able to
understand the curiosity of customers and product oriented communicational values. The skills
that I was able to garner were motivated communication, steadfastness and knowledge

3. Cocurricular Activities
Volleyball
This was also an important phase of my life as I got into sports to develop positive attitudes and
essential fitness. I was an important member of the Volleyball Club in Catholic High School in
2012. I was part of the team that finished as the first runners up in the Annual Volleyball
Competition. This was an important phase of my life. I used to attend Volleyball sessions every
Tuesday and Thursday after school hours. At first I could not get selected for the school team.
However, I was persistent and learnt from my mistakes. Very soon I was a regular player in the
school team. Gradually, within just a course of few months I became the leader of the Volleyball
team. I was able to learn that practice makes perfect and one must never give up on their actual
desires. The skills and attributes, I developed were leadership skills, time management,
motivation and strength development, both mental and physical.
Famine Camp
This was another very important phase of my life that changed by outlook. I worked for a
Famine Camp in 2014. The camp used to collect food, clothing and other essentials for people
affected due to famine at different parts of the world. I had to be self-motivated as I was working
as a volunteer for a good cause. I used to visit various households to collect the essentials for the
famine hit families. In order to relieve ourselves of the heavy stress we used to play games. This
ensured that we had a high level of bonding. It was important for me to go through this phase as I
learnt how I could become an optimally effective individual. The skills I learnt were engagement
and teamwork, the attributes I was able to garner were positive frame of mind and the attitudes I
cultivated were solidarity.

baptism. Gradually, I became much more involved. I became the director, scriptwriter and the
backstage worker of the stage play shows that used to take place at the New Year ’s Eve. I was
able to learn the virtue of being a humble person. I learnt to respect all kinds of work irrespective
of how apparently small they looked like at the first instance. The skills that I was able to learn

5. Personal SWOT Analysis and list of career plan options
Strengths
The overall strengths that I believe I was able to very effectively garner were motivated
approach, effective management and perseverance. I was able to improve my management skills
due to the part time workings that I engaged in. I was able to garner significant strength to locate
areas of management requirement and address these areas subsequently. In essence my
motivated approach comes from the fact that I believe that great things only happen to people
that are willing to never stop believing, trying learning or being grateful for the things that they
have been able to learn (Bennett 2016). Perseverance is something that helped me to complete all
the essential endeavors that I took in life. I made it an obligation to successfully complete
whatever I took part in as an exercise in life. I was a hardworking and dedicated student,
volunteer, worker and sportsperson. I never let go easily and I believe all these factors to be my
essential strengths. Team work is also an essential strength that I developed through my
endeavors.
Weaknesses
My weakness is leadership as I think that apart from a few instances I have been largely unable
to cultivate great leadership skills. I think in future this can be a hindrance as this is a skill that
one must nurture from the very beginning. The second most important weakness that I have is
lack of sufficient technical expertise. This can hamper my future growth. Lack of technical skills
like in knowing some essential aspect of software or hardware management is an important

able to communicate better with customers and resolve their queries but I was unable to create

Opportunity
Three big opportunities for me is the prospect of becoming a strong manager that can lead his
team to essential success, become a self-made businessman and become a top innovator.
Australia is a large and booming corporate sector and there is a significant scope for the growth
and development of aspiring managers (Dentchev et al. 2016). I can become the senior manager
of any significant management company in a span of just a few years. I also have the prospects
of becoming a self-made businessman with the knowledge of the products that I was able to
garner through my experiences. Thirdly I can join a firm as an innovation expert and guide the
organizational functions of the organizations.
Threats
Three crucial threat that can affect my job prospects are, lack of sufficient full time employment
hampering my growth in corporate life, inability to cope up or live up to the requirements of the
job profile for which I might be selected and changing expectations of corporate houses affecting
the flow of my career (Smither, Houston and McIntire 2016). In essence my long term life goal
of starting my beauty product company can be far more delayed than I would actually like. This
can cause further demotivation and cause me to lose much of my planned development.
Actions to build on strengths and opportunities
I would build more effective relationships with people that I meet during the course of
my corporate endeavors
