INTRODUCTION
Personal leadership is considered as a capability to develop as well as use individuals
optimistic leadership traits for guiding the direction of their life rather than letting time and
possibility that determine their actions (Burgos Burgos and Yanez Petro, 2020). The personal
leadership development is equally essential as each person one interacts with others. Also, an
individual’s personal self- reputation as well as encouragement plays huge role in to how they
perform, respond and drives others. This report is based on Jeff Bezos who is CEO of Amazon.
The aim of this report is to justify leadership style and approaches along with their key strengths
and drawbacks.

Using contemporary literature and concepts, justify the type/style of leader you aspire to be.
Assess the key strengths of this/these approach(es) and drawbacks. Compare and contrast
these approaches to leader.
Leadership style is considered as the way as well as approach of facilitating guidance,
executing plans as well as encouraging individuals. Moreover, there are behavioural pattern
which leader such as Jeff Bezos, Karen Brady, Richard Branson, Sharon White and others adapt
for influencing behaviors of their followers. It is the way they provide guidance to their
subordinates as well as encourages them for accomplishing pre-determined objectives
(Hoogsteen, 2020). As there various types of leadership style like autocratic, democratic,
participative and others. Some of them are discussed below:
Autocratic leadership style: It is also considered as authoritarian or directive style. This
describes that the leaders centralizes power of decision making into them as well as
provide guidance to their subordinates for performing the task. Also, it has full authority
as well as imposes their will upon others.
o Strengths: Its strengths is, this allow leaders to take quick decision mainly into
stress –filled circumstances.
o Drawbacks: The key drawbacks of respective leader are, this de-motivates input
of group.
