1PERSONAL LEADERSHIP THEORYWhat type of person and situation does your personal leadership theory describe? A leader is an individual who drives a group of people towards a common goal. Theleadership style that describes my personal leadership is transformational style. I think this is thebest style suited for me as I am a person who is always looking forward to evolve and change inorder to improve. According to me development and improvement of a situation will only occurif changes are adapted and flexibility is in the characteristic trait of the person (Odumeru &Ogbonna, 2013). I do not only consider a situation from the short-term perspective I think that inany situation and in any organization the impact of an activity has a long term impact. Adaptionof change, flexibility, farsightedness and working with a team is the main characteristics thatdrive my personal leadership theory. I also think that effective communication is the fundamentof being a good leader. Constant communication with the team and the stakeholders of theorganization will lead to understanding and determining the strengths and weaknesses, as well asthe opportunities and threats that the organisation will come across (Bottomley et al., 2014). Theperson who is motivating, encouraging and is willing to work with the team in order to improveand develop the process is the one who describes my personal leadership.•Identify and describe a mentor or role model who most strongly has influenced yourbeliefs and preferences in regard to effective leadership. The person who inspires me in my leadership theory is Jeff Bezos, he is the CEO ofAmazon Inc and has achieved great honors in a very less period of time.
