For a graduate a competitive working skills are essential as per the job and person
specification so that person can convince a recruiter through its skills. Also to complete the post-
graduation the individual must enhance the skills for seeking best institute for the post-
graduation. The present report on the personal pitch is all about career and future progression
therefore the report will cover presentation related to the competency using SWOT analysis.
Further the gaps in skills are analysed by critically evaluating the SWOT table. The report will
also cover the career path progression with time scale to achieve long term, short term and
medium term goals. At last the report will discuss about the progression activities for potential
growth as a graduate.

Strengths
 I have achieved graduate degree from top ranked university with distinction.
 I have achieved merit in all of my graduation subjects (Jamieson and Jamieson, 2019).
 I am awarded with first position in graduation course.
 I have also secured extra certificates in diploma courses during my graduation.
 I have exceptional computer science skills and knowledge of coding.
• I am highly dedicated and determined towards my goals for career and responsibilities.
Weaknesses
 I have no existing experience.
 I don’t have any practical or experimental knowledge and experience.
 I am irregular and late to my work due to low time management skills
 I have poor communication skills.
 I have poor oral presentation skills during the work meetings.

 I have lack of problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• I have less potential to lead because of minimal leadership skills (Nuwan, Perera and
Dewagoda, 2020).

Opportunities
 As my leadership skills are minimal therefore I have an opportunity to enhance my
leadership skills.
 There is huge amount of vacancy for jobs in best organisation therefore I have an
opportunity to gain experience.
 As there is concept of work from home I have opportunity to work remotely and gain
experience along with m studies.

• I have opportunity to join practical learning class to gain experimental knowledge and
experience to outshine my resume.
Threats
 The poor communication skills are threat to my career growth as due to lack of
interaction I make myself abide of future opportunities and also I don’t learn from peer to
peer support.
 Lack of time management is threat to my growth as slowly progress and also lose some
great opportunities and me in punctuality also impact my personality.
• The peers with the better skill sets are the threat to me as this might not make to selected
in the job of my choice.

My weaknesses are the barriers to my growth. The lack of communication skills is impacting
badly over my personality as this reflects my introvert nature and also make me nervous during
debates, interview and other meetings.

My low communication and presentation skills can badly impact my profile as in
working environment these two skills are highly important to communicate with clients, sub
ordinates, fellow members and customers. My lack of problem solving and decision making
skills are also bad for my career growth as this will puzzle me in decision making related to my
life goals, career progression and also for my decisions related to my post graduate employment
(Engle and et. al., 2017).

Also it is important for me to improve my presentation skills for which I have decided to
take training for presentation skills there I will polish my oral presentation skills which will
include my body language, gestures etc. I will more work on my confidence to uplift my
personality and learn problem solving skills by solving case studies to also improve my critical
thinking skills. For me future training and development is highly essential to reduce the impact
of my gaps. Hence the training and development will also help me to become more confident and
also help me learning new skills set for my better future progression.

For my career progression I have increased my I engagement towards academic and
practice based learning in order to attain the practical knowledge related to my subjects which
will help me to gain more experience understanding about the theoretical knowledge thereby
making me move towards opportunities where I can utilise both practical and theoretical
knowledge of subjects but I face barriers towards my career progression such as lack of training
and development ineligible training and lack of finance.
I am increasing my skill set in a specific subject area there by assessing and observing the
factors that are required for enhancing of the skills in the specialist subject area which will
required teaching material and resources coaching and mentoring but I am facing the progression
barrier because of the and relevant teaching methods and strategies of the teachers and also
training is also inadequate (McGuirk Audet-Delage and St-Pierre, 2020).

Hence, a career pathway will help the person to understand the requirements to attain the
weaknesses and gaps of skills and also to set time to achieve those skills. The progression
activities are useful in career development and also to grab future opportunities of becoming post
graduate.
