INTRODUCTION
The concept of personal and professional development is about something to improve
oneself for performing and understanding the job role along with making improvements. This
process helps in improving skills which is continue throughout the working life. The PDP
ensures understanding and knowledge for developing the understanding career area. The skills
and knowledge are developed of an individual for development of career. Through personal
development the talent & potential is improved of individual inside or outside workplace by
comprising of both hard and soft skills (Armstrong, and et.al., 2018). The progress is tracked
which offers roadmap and to attain something there is requirement of having certain level of
education, skills, training etc. In two part the report is divided for which Finance field is selected
for professional field. The PPT will cover description of professional field and analysing career
paths. For the career path strength and weakness are determine along with measures to overcome
with strength. The task 2 is reflection report which is prepared regarding the skills and using
reflective mode for enhancing the skills in future with plan.

The career of an individual becomes successful with help of employability and study
skills. The employability is related with developing of relations between study, personal
development and other related activities (McDonagh, and et.al., 2019). There is enhancement of
person by motivation, open to learn along with acquire knowledge and skills through
employability. The study skill defines to academic skill which is applied to learning and benefit
in tackling with the procedures of organising and acquiring new information for retaining and
dealing with assessments. The individual is required to have several skills for having personal
and professional development in any field and to pursue career path. The skills which are needed
are as follows-

ï‚· Communication skills- In the career life communication is most significant aspects
which needs lot of efforts in the field of personal and professional. This refers to ability
of acquiring and providing information of several kinds which comprises listening,
speaking, observing and empathising. In sector of finance there is communication with
lot of people which requires to communicated properly and should be in both form of oral
& written. The financial expert requires this skill to have dealing with data, explaining
trends, patterns and forecast in clear way. The communication skill is also needed for
presenting financial reports in meetings, conferences.
 Research skills – This defines to process and methodical inquiry in some study area
which includes intensive research, critical analysis etc. as it is ability of finding,
organising, evaluating and using current information related to particular topic. The
gathering of data helps in finding solutions of problems. In field of finance research is
most essential part to perform successfully day to day activities which needs
understanding of scenario by listing all questions. Through this effective financial
planning can be done in respect to required amount of funds and where to invest them in
proper way.
ï‚· The use of ICTs- The ICTs allows in evaluating and management of self learning,
critical and creative thinking, solves stimulated real world problems. In engages in ethical
decision making by working in collaboration (Meadows, and Caniglia, 2018). With this
skill there is application of computer programs, software and other applications which
includes word processing, spreadsheets, databases etc. The accountant needs this skill in
field of finance for determining business profitability be producing of financial report.
With help of this transactions can be done easily and mistakes are searched which takes
less time in making entries. With advance features and capabilities there is use of
spreadsheet software in MS Excel.
ï‚· Team working and Networking- There is exchange of information through networking
and connects audience in similar field which benefit in development of career by gaining
new learning through interaction with other people. In team working this skill help in
enhancing overall development of person in career life which leads to effective
collaboration and communication is improved in finance field. The financial analyst in

ï‚· Time and self-management- These skills are important in finance as financial
professional is expected to work in team with colleagues and managers (Parodi, and
Tamm, 2018). The company and financial analyst both are benefited by collaboration as
it aligns financial activities. The self-management skill helps in managing small group of
people and their task who take responsibility. It is a ability of controlling and regulating
actions through which financial work can be done efficiently.
ï‚· Problem- solving skill- In workplace it is ability of handling complex situations and
business challenges. This skill help in solving complex process by identifying solutions.
The employer value this skill which benefits in developing relationship and day-to-day
decision made. In field of finance there is want of this skill by having understanding of
system & processes so that complex problems can be tackled with ease that are related to
financial dilemma, clients tax dilemma.
Kolb's Reflective Cycle
This model was introduced in 1984. From personal experience, this model is known as
experimental learning which systematically checks, analyse and evaluates in four phases.
ï‚· Concrete experience- In this person encounters new experience or reinterpretations of
existing experiences. The individual learn something new and improves existing skills
and exercises as person consciously and physically experiences situation in career path.
For the respective situation the notes are prepared in this phase and explains what, how
person feels and thinks (Spagnola, and et.al., 2019). This style take approach of original
and creative. This style of learning preferred by those tends to enjoy task such as
brainstorming ideas and work in group.
ï‚· Reflective observation- The experience is written down in description and reflects more
profoundly on circumstances for knowing what is happening. The question of failure is
asked by to own reasons of arising this and what worked. On reasoning this style of
learning places great emphasises which help individual in reviewing facts and experience
as entirely. The person starts enjoying on projects and design experiments from start to
finish.

ï‚· Abstract Conceptualisation- To an existing abstract concept this reflection offers new
idea and modification which is learned from experience. From the observation stage,
there is preparation of key questions regarding what a person can do differently or better
and in what way they can continue to improve. To deal with similar situations different
ways are determined. In such phase, the person consults with its colleagues and literature
for gaining better understanding and better ideas/. It also results in problem solving along
with help individual in making decision and new experiences are applied.
ï‚· Active Experimentation- There is sue of ideas to see what happen. This stage is about of
practising new acquired knowledge, by absorbing own thoughts and ideas for
improvement which is a stage of testing (Staben, and et,al., 2021). The predictionism are
made by persons, tasks are analysed and plans are developed for acquisition of future
knowledge. In practice knowledge is put by learner by showing its relevancy. This style
is adaptable and intuitive. There is use of trial and error for guiding experiences and
prefers to re-discover the answers for themselves.
Personal and professional development plan
This plan is created by manager for identifying the required skills and resources for
supporting career goals of employees and needs of business organisation. This plan documents
the goals, skills required and to be developed by employees for attaining continuous
improvement & career development (Vasyagina, and et.al., 2018). The cation plan is created
which needs planning & time based on awareness, values, reflection and goal setting.
