INTRODUCTION
Professional and personal development is totally interconnected with the professional and
personal and employees development. The skills and the various approaches of the development
are considered to be the important factors which helps in deeper understanding about the learning
in context to self management. The present report basically involves the time management and
smart goals, emotional intelligence, various skills related to effective communication, how to
manage conflict, a detailed cv and much more. In addition to that it comprises of the professional
development and planning and 6 category intervention analysis.
MAIN BODY
Relationship with yourself
During my entire module, i developed a really effective and strong relationship with myself and
also it really helped me in emotional intelligence and self awareness. During the entire module, i
realised that emotional intelligence played a very important role for me delivering better services
and also achieving my objectives in a timely manner. With the help of effective self management
and emotional intelligence it really helped me in carrying out my tasks in a effective manner and
also working upon the relationship with my patients. It also helped me a lot in increasing my
empathy towards the people i was working with. During the entire module, i got to learn so much
about myself and how i have developed my personality and how i am becoming a better person
each and every day (Albrecht, Moscardo and Dwyer, 2022).
Time Management: In context to health and social care, poor time management could lead to
various issues and problems. With the help of effective time management, it could result in
increasing the productivity and also helping in delivering better patient care to the patients.
Smart Goals or Objectives
In context to health and social care, there are various key areas which need to have setting up of
smart goals which includes the following:

Safety: In context to the profession, it is very important to ensure the safety of the employees and
ensuring that each patient receives the right treatment in a timely manner.
Patient Care : In context to taking care of patients, it is very important to keep the records in
relation to the details of the patients.
Efficiency: In reference to such tasks, it is really important to have a weekly timetable and
completing the tasks according to that for the purpose to improve the time management skills and
delegating the tasks.
Relationship with others
During my entire module, it really helped in improving my learning and using it for the purpose
to improve my relationship with others( O’Leary and Sheedy, 2021). During the week 4 i build a
very strong relationship with other individuals while working on power point presentation. In
order to improve my effectiveness with the other individuals, i used a variety of skills such as :
Communication Skills: In context to social and health care, the communication skills plays a
very important role in establishing professional relationships and is considered to be the most
crucial component in order to build relationship with other individuals. In reference to the
communication, it basically comprises of a sender, receiver, message and a communication
channel. In context to communication, there are various theories which are used for the purpose
to establish relationship with other individuals and able to communicate in a effective and
efficient manner possible (Mitin, Mitina and Shchelina, 2021).
Team Working skills: Another skill which played a very important role in improving my
relationship with others is team working skills. With the help of working with team members and
establishing effective communication and listening the team members carefully helps in
improving relationship with other members.
Critical Thinking Skills: In context to establishing relationship with others, critical thinking plays
a very important role and also helps in carrying out better decisions. In order to have cordial
relations with others, it is very important to think critically in various situations.

Though while working with other team members, there always had been a chance of conflict and
in order to resolve i really worked on developing conflict resolution skills. In context to conflict
resolution techniques, it is basically a strategy that allows the tow parties to work together. In
any job, the conflicts or the situation of conflict is unavoidable and it is very important to learn
conflict management techniques as it plays a very important role in professional scenario. With
the help of practicing conflict management and undergoing conflict resolution training, it could
help in becoming a collaborative person in the workplace. With the help of demonstrating good
communication skills, it could result in fostering respect and trust in the workplace. With the
help of conflict resolution skills, it could really help in promoting effective communication. In
addition to that, it really help in dealing with the situation of stress and improving the job
satisfaction. In context to my communication skills, there are various elements in which i have
made development (von Suchodoletz, Jamil, Larsen and Hamre, 2018). In the entire module, the
communication skills played a very important role in developing group work and establishing
inter communication. In addition to that, these skills plays a very important role in health and
social care sector in order to become more professional. I realised that the communication is
basically an entire process which involves various elements such as sharing of attitudes,
thoughts, feelings and ideas with the support of non verbal and verbal symbols. In addition to
that, i also improved my vocabulary, written words and the face-to-face exchange while
communicating with other individuals. I also realized that, failing to do so might get me into
troubles and various negative results such as risking the quality of care. In context to health and
social care, the communication plays a very important role in interacting personally. I realised
that a very good team work and effective communication is highly essential as it really important
in order to achieve my end objectives. I also had a deep understanding regarding the importance
of having a good team work and communication as it is very necessary in order to provide the
best services to the patients and also these skills really helps a lot in strengthening as long as i
will be in the health and social care sector.

Being an attentive listener: In context to communication, listening is considered to be one of the
most important element and it is very important for the individuals to listen in a careful manner
in order to have better understanding
(Saleem and Ashiq, 2020).
Nonverbal communication is the key: In context to the communication, body language plays a
very important role and when it comes to communication, hand gestures, eye contact, facial
expressions and tone are considered to be more important while communicating. With the help of
using non verbal communication, it helps in establishing strong relationship with others and also
the message delivery becomes more effective and convenient
Using Time in effective manner: For the purpose to communicate in a effective manner, it is very
important to have better understanding about the team members and having the knowledge of
situation and timing for the purpose to communicate in a effective manner (Caena and Vuorikari,

Six Category Intervention Analysis
In context to Six Categories of Intervention analysis, it was basically formulated by John
Heron which is basically a framework with the intention of providing managers and leaders with
a more flexible and adaptive approach for the purpose to assist the team members and staff with
personal growth or work. The main objective of this framework is to have better understanding
of the interpersonal relationships. In context to intervention, it is basically a verbal behaviour and
generally comprises of counselling interventions which are based upon two different styles
which is authoritative and facilitative.
Prescriptive: Basically involves the seeking of behaviour of the client.
Informative: Imparting knowledge to the client.
Confronting: Seeking awareness in relation to the behaviour and attitude of the client.
Cathartic: Seeking to discharge emotions which are painful in nature.
Catalytic: Seeking to encourage the client into problem solving, self directing and self discovery
approach.
Supportive: Seeking to understand the actions and qualities of the client. (Bogomaz, Perikova,

organization, it is very important to improve the personal skills and professional skills in order to
gain maximum advantage for the purpose to achieve the organization objective. In context to
health and social care, it is very significant to develop competencies and skills for the personal
and professional development. The firm provides the development plan to the organization or
people in order to develop the abilities and skills of the employees to achieve more. In context to

the module my main objective was to learn “Evidence Based Practice( EBP) which basically
comes from the expression evidence based medicine which was set up in the medical history in
1991. It is basically considered to be a problem solving way to clinical settings that consider the
best indication from the sophisticated studies. Also in reference to evidence based practice, it
basically comprises of the three main factors patient choice, use of proof and expert knowledge.
In context to the health care workers, the evidence based care is known as the most demanding
skills for the health care workers from all the cultures and all type of careers. In context to the
objectives and self learning of the development plan should provide the understanding of what
work has been done. It is very important to improve the employees ability to compare and
understand among the achieved results.
Kolb’s Model of Reflection
In context to health and social care, the reflection is considered to be important for the purpose to
improve the practices and challenging. With the help of reflection, it basically provides a manner
for the healthcare workers to trade with the various delicate issues they are likely to occurrence.
In context to health and social care roles, indicate on tasks helps us in offering various
opportunities to look at each phase of a care giving process. In context to Kolb’s model of
experiential learning works through reflection in the process of learning. Every time a new
practice or skill is learned. In reference to the Kolb’s model, it is particularly used for learning
and practical application.
Stage 1 – Concrete Experience
During the entire module and learning process, my experience was really great and it also helped
me a lot in having deep knowledge and understanding about the various skills which helped me a
lot in developing group work and intercommunication in the breakout session. I also got to learnt
about the Driscoll model of reflection (Weiss, Kennell, Lakdawala, Anzio, Klamut, Lucas,
Antinori-Lent and Mininni, 2021).
Stage 2 – Reflective Observation
In context to my observations and learning process, i realised that effective communication plays
a very important role and the process of communication is highly crucial and important in health

and social care for the purpose to interact professionally. I also got to learn about the various
theories which are used for the efficient practice for the purpose to have deep understanding. i
also realised that it is very important for to communicate effectively with the various
stakeholders (Schwartz, Cappella, Aber, Scott, Wolf and Behrman, 2019).
Stage 3 – Abstract Conceptualisation
During my week 4, me and my colleagues worked on a Power Point Group presentation. The
session was online and i found it really interesting where we must make good use of effective
communication for the purpose to carry out various operations. Also our lecturer put us in
breakout session where all four of us had a discussion on the tasks which were assigned to us. In
addition to that, our group leader created a whatsapp group for the purpose to carry out the task
where were participating in providing good presentation. Also in the end, our team work was
very good and was appreciated by everyone. Furthermore, we were able to communicate in a
effective manner and also finishing the task on time bearing in mind of the deadline( Makovec,
2018).
Stage 4 – Active Experimentation
In context the entire learning process, i can say that the skills that i possess and the
communication skills and ability in the perfect manner is very important for me to reach the
objectives and a very good team work and effective communication are very important for me to
give the best of ourselves in giving the best care and to also satisfy our users. It is very important
for me to work on these skills as long as i am in this health and social care sector. In order to
improve my skills, it is very important for me to apply and put into practice everything which I
have studies for the purpose to improve the well being and benefit of the patients.
CONCLUSION
From the above it can be determined that self learning helps the people in gaining the
benefits of the effectiveness and performance efficiency of the company as a whole as well as in
developing the various competencies and skills in an individual. With the help of the professional
and personal development plan, it helps in communicating the self evaluation techniques and
