1.1) Introduction:Learning means collection of knowledge, which we acquire by various means of study throughdifferent sources. Each and everything that we learn from the very beginning of the infancy is ameasure of knowledge which has been input in us. The knowledge we gather in the first fiveyears are the basics we learn to establish our own existence in the vast population. Gradually,when we get older we start to recreate another agenda of data that we acquire through knowledgefrom the personal and the professional areas. Our infancy is full of the knowledge mostlygathered personally, from the environment and the society outside. Later, we learn from theschools, colleges and the universities which go in the account of the professional learning. Thestudy done here has given us the account of the personal and the professional learning. 1.2) An account of Personal and Professional Learning:There is a conflict and a debate on the personal and the professional learning. in understanding it,we need to know first what the words mean and say. Personal learning says by the name that, itis the learning or the knowledge that is acquired personally, without any help of the professionalguidance. The professional learning juxtaposes the personal learning as the professional learningguides a learner with the professional help. Now, personal knowledge is the important part ofthe learning which a man follows in the very beginning of life. Even in the later times we go forvarious means of personal learning. In this twenty first century, it has even been easier to go for apersonal learning. The development of technologies has brought the bliss of online learning,which has proved to help in the personal studies and development of the personal learning. According to Dabbagh et al. (2012, p. 3), professional learning is mostly acquired from theacademic studies. We can gain a vast amount of the professional learning from the lectures. Thehearing helps a lot to remember lessons, which helps our brain to be fruitful while listening to alecture. The professional learning from the teachers and the professors through lectures help, as theinformation we gathered from it, is the one, which has already been established by someone else.This tends less doubt in our mind, while the personal learning, many times keep us in conflict. Inthe contradiction, a total dependence on the professional learning can bring the tendency to relyon others and lack confidence in our practice. The personal learning teaches us the tricks of theanalytical qualities. A person can never gain knowledge through a single way of learning. That is3
