1PERSONAL SWOT ANALYSIS
The respective paper is a SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunities and Threats)
analysis of me regarding my prospects in career and professional arena of my life. A SWOT
analysis is an analysis of any component/resource/factor/approach which tends to introspect its
positivities, negativities, competencies and drawbacks. SWOT analysis has become
tremendously important in the arena of human resources. The respective paper is also a
description of a job website and its contribution in my career.
Strengths:
1. The area of my core competency is creativity. Since I am a creative person, I can
visualize one approach into different approaches and perspectives which might be prolific
for the organization.
2. I have great communication skills which will enable me to communicate effectively and
efficiently with the employees of the organization for better performance.
3. I am a critical thinker. With the help of critical bent of my mind, I would be able to
analyze and interpret my work in the organization accurately.
4. I am a diligent and committed employee. With the diligence and commitment towards my
work, I would be able to achieve my goal.
Weaknesses
1. I get stressed out very easily. Even though I am confident enough to take up the
responsibilities, I get anxious in certain cases which are not manageable easily.
2. I am not a good listener. Even though I am a good speaker, yet there are certain cases
where I do not possess patience to listen to minute details attentively.

Opportunities
1. As most of the firms and organizations have poor history of treating their employees
properly, as a human resource manager, I believe that I would be able to treat the
employees under my supervision effectively and efficiently.
2. As I have been regular to different human resource conference and seminars, I have an
immense opportunity to learn strategic management and policy making skills or art which
would be helpful for me to pursue my career in the organization where I would be getting
hired.
3. I have been enrolled into certified and accredited courses which focus on human
development and human resource skills which includes organizational and industrial
psychology. Such courses would provide me with ample of information, wisdom,
perspective and knowledge to understand the arena, growth and development
opportunities of the career where I would be enrolling it.
Threats
1. Due to recession and congestion in the global as well as local market, I have been losing
in opportunity of getting hired in compatible organizations.
2. The human resource department of the desired organizations where I am in a dire
expectation to be enrolled in are changing its direction and due to economic slog, certain
organizations are even not recruiting more people.
New Factors in me
1. I have found myself to be capable enough to show my dexterity and flexibility in my
profession. I have multilateral creativity in me, such as in policy making, management,

writing as well as communicating skills. Therefore, with the help of my multidimensional
skills, I would be able to serve my organization well.
Analysis and Statement
With a thorough scrutiny of my personal SWOT analysis, It can be concluded that I have
to work on stress management as well as listening skills. As far as stress management is
concerned, I can initiate visiting a professional psychological counselor in order to understand
my drawback and challenge them for a better version of myself in my profession. On the other
hand, listening skills are intrinsic skill; therefore, I need to study myself in order to practice
minute and detailed listening so that my communication skills are more enhanced.

“Indeed” is an American company which provides worldwide employment generation
through optimized search engines. The respective company was formed in the year 2004 and has
become one of the most searched and significant company throughout the world, having its
headquarters in Texas, United States (Indeed.com, 2019). The site aggregates job listings from
thousands of websites, including job boards, staffing firms, associations, and company career
pages. In 2011, Indeed began allowing job seekers to apply directly to jobs on Indeed's site and
offering resume posting and storage. “Indeed” provides the employment seekers with optimized
and desired results with a lot of secondary and tertiary functions, such as providing applicant
tracking system, employer accounts, talent database and application management. The most
striking feature of “Indeed” is that it has the provision of Applicant Tracking System for the
growing businesses. Applicant Tracking Systems (ATSs) are a significant part of the recruitment
process for most large companies as it is more reliable and highly sorted as well as optimized.

There are many different ATS solutions available, but the main functions are similar: organizing,
tracking and communicating with applicants. Some of the most important characteristics of ATS
are: Employee application process and selection is much more integrated, the applications of the
candidates are more organized and filtered (Indeed.com, 2019).
As I had enrolled myself in the job search engine www.indeed.com, I had been getting a
plethora of job opportunities and calls at my number and in my e-mail account as well. I have
chosen “Indeed” because I found the website to be authenticated, absolutely reliable, prolific as
It has also provided me with opportunities to increase my skill by enrolling into various certified
courses and at the same time, highly optimized. The Applicant Tracking System of “Indeed” is
remarkably and uniquely efficient and has become popular among the masses as well. I have
enrolled my name for the post of a Human Resource Officer. The website has not only given me
a myriads of opportunities, but has also placed me at a better position in my professional life and
career by providing me impetus and motivation to pursue different courses from different
institutions and also by providing me with proper career counseling sessions and e-mails. Such
career counseling sessions have helped me broaden my perspectives and approaches to my career
and enabled me to think rationally and diversely, which was not done by me earlier when I was
not introduced to the website. Therefore, it can be said that “Indeed” has assisted me in the best
possible ways.
