1 MANAGEMENT 1.After taking Myers Briggs Personality Indicator (MBTI) test, I found that the top three personality types, which matches my mentality are:INFP, ISFP and ISFJ.Among these, elucidation can be produced for INFP personality type, which is as follows: INFP stands for Introversion- 59% Intuition (N)- 47% Feeling- 75% Perception- 55% In case ofINFP, I learnt that these people are imaginative idealists, guided by their own beliefs. This matches with my personality, as I like to focus on the possibilities rather than realities. The persons with this personality type perceive a potential for shaping their future. In this process, they seek individual means for seeking value and meaning into their life. All these cases seem true for me, as I dislike to go with the traditional views and customs regarding progressing on the path of becoming anorator.
2 MANAGEMENT 2. Strengths of the personality type in relation to career choice According to my plans, I preferred to become anorator. Since my childhood, I use to practice ornamental words for communicating with others. One of the greatest strengths for the people with INFP personality type is that they arenatural artists. They are gifted with innovative ideas, which implemented properly, enhances their creativity and imagination. Devoting quality time towards nourishing and nurturing the art would help me to seek attentionfromothers.Thepeoplewiththispersonalitytypearehighlyskilledand productive, which helps in creating a positive image wherever they go. My hardworking nature would contribute in enhancing the productivity of the spheres, which I would reach for attainingpersonalandprofessionaldevelopment.Oneoftheotherstrengthsofthis personality type is that they areexceptionally competentto the tasks, they are allotted. I think I am competent enough for completing the allocated tasks in the ambience of pressure. Typical evidence of this lies in my adjustability skills and abilities. I can also point out that the persons with this personality type are predetermined in terms of working towards the identified goals and objectives. According to my personality, perseverance, dedication and commitment towards the tasks would be helpful in terms of projecting productive labour and attaining praise. Perceiving the things from positive side is one of the biggest strengths of the persons with this personality type. However, this would keep them in dark about the practical issues governing the life. 3. Challenges in the personality type in relation to career choice My career preference is becoming a good orator. The persons with INFP personality type are very sensitive to the surrounding environment. Diversified comments about my oratory skills would deviate me from my identified and specified goals. Chronic and Pessimistic attitude results in mood swings, which is harmful in terms of maintaining the stability in the personality. Along with this, they are also sensitive to criticisms. If their
3 MANAGEMENT viewpoints are not considered and are discouraged, they can encounter nervous breakdowns, whichaggravatesthecomplexitiestowardscontrollingtheirperformance.Oneofthe concerns in this direction is that the persons with this personality type have strong belief on their abilities, however, they lack the confidence towards emerging capable in performing according to the plans. I sometimes lack confidence regarding handling the tasks within an ambience of pressure. Negligent approach towards this aspect would act as a threat towards performing challenging tasks. The persons with this personality type love to remain in solitude, which can be a problem in terms of working in groups. Along with this, it would result in conflicts, differentiation of opinions, which adds ambiguity into the personality of the individuals. 4. Areas of interest in the personality type I personally liked the fact that my dominant energy style is introversion. This is because I am concerned about organizing my comfort zone, so that I can access the things in a proper manner, when I need to undertake important decisions. This aspect can obstruct my preparation for polishing the communication skills. I also liked the projection that my cognitive style is blended with the preference towards sensing. Intuition helps me to sense the things happening around me. I am in full support for this fact, as observation helps me to learn the things in a better manner. Hearing inspirational and emotional stories of others distracts me from my objectives. Therefore, I liked the score for the attributes of thinking and feeling. I believe perceiving other is the best way of learning and managing the life and its direction. For this, I expose my likeness towards the scores for perceiving and judging. I think that perceiving the actions of others enables me to judge them. 5. Limitations of Myers Briggs Personality Indicator Test (MBTI)

4 MANAGEMENT One of the major concerns of this test is that it istime consuming, which delays the process of analysing the performance of the employees. Along with this, the tests are very costly, due to which most of the companiesdo not adopt the test for assessing the performance of the employees. Sometimes accuracy in the result of the test is an issue, which aggravates the complexities in judging one’s personality.Discrepancies in the final score adds hypothetical parameter to the capabilities, abilities, competencies and skills of the employees. Each of the four personality types have individual characteristics, which makes the process of judging the overall performance or personality difficult. According to the critics, Myers Briggs Personality Test can be exempted from separating the individuals based on the attributes of adaptive, functional or stable. Typical evidence of this lies in the scores of the attributes within the personality. Mention can also be made of Annie Murphy Paul, who considers that no personality test has achieved the cult status. This is because it lacks any scientific basis. However, for developing the machines and synthesis of the scores, scientific management theory is needed for assessing the personality of the individuals. Rationality towards considering the scores of the personality tests would help me to enhance the establishment of my personality as an orator.
