INRODUCTION
Personal resourcing defined as part of development which concentrate on recruitment and
release of persons from companies as well as management of their performance. It can be said
that personal or employee resourcing & development is quite beneficial for growth and success
of a company. The current study is based on Marriott Hotel international, which falls under
category of leading hotels in London. This assignment will explain external environment
analysis through PESTLE tool related to hotel, significant of recruitment and select process and
principal factors that impact diversity, culture and equity of firm. Furthermore, this study will
justify performance management methods and plan which consists potential suggestions.
TASK 1
PESTEL analysis of external environment related to Marriott hotel international
It is a tool or framework utilized to examine and monitor macro environment elements
that may be impact on specific business performance within sector (The PESTLE analysis,
2019). Here, it is used in regard to chosen hotel brand that is Marriott, operating their business
within UK hospitality industry.
Political factor-
Brexit is one of the political factors that impact business environment and management
within which professionals and personnel work to achieve set aims of company in negative
manner. Due to this factor, Marriott hotel face many issues as they are unable to manage
workforce within another branch across UK. They cannot gain serve its best because of this
element which make changes in current trade and taxation policies.
Economic factor-
High unemployment rate after Brexit is one of the economic factors that put negative
impact on productivity of Marriott hotel. Many people go back to their home towns after
separation between UK and EU. It affect living standard of people and make them unable to

fulfill their personal needs. It is one of the biggest factors that direct impact on sales and
productivity of organization.
Social factor-
In recent time, consumers prefer to associate themselves with specific brand; they seek to
obtain quality services or goods offered by any business. It put negative impact on Marriott hotel
when they do not consider preferences of target market and their needs as well. People
preference are changing, they like to choose services provided by the most famous brand because
it makes them feel comfortable during journey.
Technology factor-
Along with above factors, technology advancement also affect on Marriott hotel
operational and functional functions, but in positive manner. For example, digital technology
development gives potential change to employer; they can use digital platforms to hire new
applicants from talent pool. It helps to increase the productivity and profit margin of business
even better.
Environmental factor-
Regulations and laws related to environment put high pressure on Marriot hotel to reduce
their carbon foot print. It affect positively on business growth because organization claims to
abide by varied laws prevailing in nations where it operates. It helps to sustain its business for
long period of time and aid to achieve competitive benefits.
Legal factor-
Data privacy and its policies put positive impact on Marriott hotel international
positively, it help management to secure data related to staff and guests effectively. It analyzed
that firm in 2018 has subject to varied lawsuits, it lead to disclosure of personal data of more
than 380 million travelers, it affect on consumer base.
