IntroductionThe strategic management is basically the responsibility of the management to optimize theinternal resources and capture the external opportunities by avoiding the threats. This is done forthe purpose of achieving a competitive advantage in the market. In this report, the factorsaffecting the environment of the pharmaceutical industry will be studied. The aim of the study isto critically evaluate the external evaluation of the external and the internal environment of theDDi (makrocare) which provides services to the pharmaceutical industries. The analysis will be done with the help of the different analytical tools which play specific rolesin the analysis of specific factors. The PESTEL analysis will be used for the monitoring of themacro-environmental factors of the company. The industry life cycle as well as the scenarioplanning of the industry will be analysed. The competitive advantage of the industry will bestudied with the help of the five force analysis and the blue ocean thinking will be used for theanalysis of the value innovation. The internal factors of the industry will be evaluated with thehelp of the SWOT analysis. The problems and the issues will be analysed based on theevaluation and the likely consequences will be anticipated. Finally, the recommendations basedon the problems will be provided. OverviewThe pharmaceutical industry provides direct employment to more than 72,000 people andcontributes a considerable amount to the GDP of the country.
