Question One
Describe the steps in the production process in terms of triggers, data, tasks,
and outcomes.
The steps within the production process in terms of data, triggers, tasks and
outcomes are being discussed as follows:
1. In the initial stage, a process would be triggered based on a placed request
for production. The initiated order header would comprise of basic data that
includes a unique order number, people responsible for scheduling of the
production process, current order status and the plant in which the material
would be produced (Magal and Word 2011). After each form of data has been
generated, the tasks that would be need to be performed in the next phases
would be detailed.
2. In the next step, the order placed containing the details would be authorized,
which would further allow the warehouse for issuing the raw materials. The
production would make use of the materials for the manufacturing process of
the requested goods.
3. After the raw materials are being issues and the particular plant have been
discussed, the production process would begin in the plant with the specified
team (Di Ciccio, Marrella and Russo 2015). They would make use of the raw
materials, equipment and manufacture the requested product.
4. Hence, after the production process have been completed, the finished
goods would be moved to the warehouse. The warehouse officials would
manage the inventory and secure the finished goods by piling them in stacks.

Question Two
What are the production resource tools?
During the discussion and understanding over the working of work centers, the
product routing can be defined as a list of certain operations, which would be
performed by a company for the purpose of material production. Additionally,
the process of product routing would help in specify the proper sequence in
which the production operations would be carried out. During the specification,
the work centre would also be specified in which the operations would be
performed (Chen, Liu and Ma 2017). The time would also be specified based
on the needs of completing them during the specified time. Product routing
would also help in the listing of additional resources, which could also be
known as the production resource tools. The tools would also help the
company in the completion of their daily operations.
The final master data in relation to the production process are termed as
production resource tools (PRTs). These are also considered as movable
resources, which would be shared among the different work centers. Some of
the common examples of PRTs include jigs, measurement instruments,
documents and fixtures, which include engineering drawings (Lu and Xu
2018). Since, each of the instruments and tools cannot be used within every
work center, hence a limited number of these tools are kept under use within
the work centers are brought under whenever required.
