Software platform
The most favorable web technology to use for my portfolio will be WordPress. The fact that I
can be able to use WordPress and administer it on my own without involving a third-party means
that my portfolio will be safe from hackers or any other website threats (Effing & Spil, 2016).
Purpose
I am creating an e-commerce website that can be used to order products and pay for them online
Comparable/competing texts
The various texts tell a story in the way they are arranged, used and implied. I plan to use various
text styles to capture the client’s attention.
Rhetorical influences
Many organizations like Amazon and Jumia have used responsive sites and images in slide-show
in their sites. This is useful in showing activities related to my portfolio.
Situated ethos
Due to my determination for perfection, I might spend unnecessary time creating the website.
This would make the audience love the outcome but would negatively drain me mentally,
physically and financially if I was to use the web hosting services.
Invented ethos
Official tone will be used to markets product and is able to attract new and potential customers as
well as retain the existing customers (Wymer, 2011).
Audience
In shaping my portfolio, I will consider the teenagers visit my site. They need a straight easy and
fast way of doing things.
