1POLICING AND SECURITY
Introduction
The following essay aims at governance and security ethics for the police service. All the
police officers and employees of police service should follow the guidelines from the
government of their countries. It is duly important since they have to maintain all the security
ethics i.e. needed for governing the country in a better manner. It is also significant for reducing
the events of crime in the society as well (Froestad and Shearing 2016). Three mechanisms that
are chosen for proper governance and security ethics are coroner’s courts, criminal courts and
police inspectorate organizations. All employees of police service should abide by these policies
so they can create a better society. The ways the legal frameworks are implemented will be
helpful to understand security ethics. All the ethical issues related to ensure security of common
people by police officers concerns with security ethics.
Criminal courts
The criminal courts of all countries are needed to be secured properly since all types of
miscreants like thrives, robbers, murderers and anti-socials are kept in the lock ups or prisons
(Elfes and Birch 2015). On the other hand, these criminal courts should also take up the
responsibility of providing justice to innocent people and punish offenders at the maximum. All
these crimes should be analyzed through its nature by police officers and should find the proper
way to solve the cases. Criminal cases should always be dealt with first priority by these police
organizations.
It is their role to evaluate how effectively they can cope up with these issues. The police
administrators are responsible for tracking down the movements of these criminals and catch
them red handed to give them the punishments (Keane and Bell 2014). The primary role of

police is to stop crime and prevent common innocent human beings from becoming victims of
crimes like rape, murder, enslavement of women and children in particular, torture, sexual
slavery and apartheid (Elfes and Birch 2015). Security mechanisms in Australia will deal with
these issues proactively to ensure better operations to reduce the amount of crimes within the
society.
All state and territorial courts will have to abide by all rules. The police service has to
implement these acts and arrest criminals to ensure they get effective punishments for their deeds
(Froestad and Shearing 2016). The Australian Federal Police are entrusted upon this
responsibility of finding all offenders and take them for trial in judiciary courts (Shearing and
Johnston 2013). They are empowered to arrest these offenders on the basis of supportable
evidence. If any police officer is found guilty of being engaged with these crimes, trials will be
held for them as well (Sabel and Zeitlin 2012).
Police inspectorate organizations
The police inspectorate organizations are important bodies for ensuring proper security
across the provinces in all countries. In Australia, there are eight police inspectorate
organizations that look after all the issues in the country (Andrade 2016). These police
inspectorate organizations are Police Association of South Australia, Western Australia Police
Union, Police Association of New South Wales, Australian Federal Police Association, Northern
Territory Police Association, Police Association of Tasmania, The Police Association Victoria
and Queensland Police Union. These police unions will look after how the security mechanisms
will operate in challenging situations. Higher authorities of these police organizations will seek
the requirements from police officers if they need to use the updated technological devices. The
