Question No 1- The policy cycle is an idealized process which explains the way policy should be
drafted assessed and implemented. It were the service as the instructive guide for people who are
new to a policy then the strictly define process. However, there are many organizations which
are aimed at completing the policies having use the policy cycle as the optimal model. The
policy cycle in the process of policy making has many Saints which help in making the policy. In
every stage the policy cycle helps the decision makers to recognize the issue and evaluate all of
the alternative policies having selected the most proper strategy (Clavier & de Leeuw, 2013).
The policy cycle further provides the policy makers with proper understanding regarding the way
they should act. As an example in the stage of agenda setting the policy maker sets the agenda
through checking the issues that have emerged and received use public attention and need proper
intervention of the government. In this particular stage the policy maker must have the
knowledge of the prevailing problems regarding a particular issue. They further are required to
analyze the political and social context having checked whether the recent policy is suitable to be
applied to particular issue along with getting general idea about the involvement in this policy.
The time when policy alternative has been analyzed the decision-making stage comes that is
followed by proper implementation (De Leeuw, Clavier & Breton, 2014).. The policy cycle
further doesn't stop at the implementation of the policy but continuous with the evaluation
providing the results of the decision that are monitored by the parties both the outside and the
inside government. These are the stages which appear in a separate way and it makes easier for
the policymakers to recognize, revisit and then analyze a particular face which has been done in
an improper manner. Additionally the stages of the policy cycle can be separately compared as
per requirement. In this way it is an important part of new policy development.
