INTRODUCTION
Governance of public health includes the governing principles of fairness, accountability,
transparency and participation. The strategic planning defines the vision and missions for the
activities that take place on national and international levels. The implication of national health
status is an important aspect to define the health developments that are assessed. These public
health laws enable the government to take drastic measures to protect and promote the health of
common public. Public health laws along with institutional support ensure effective
organisational structures and proper delivery of health protection interventions. This essay
highlights the policy vision, aims and objectives of the issue of governance in the wider public
health and the factors that influence the development of the policy. The main discussion will also
revolve around the logic model of the policy along with the impacts and outcomes of the
objectives of the policy.
MAIN BODY
The development of public policies is influenced by a number of factors such as public
opinions, economic conditions of the country, new discoveries and changes in technologies along
with other political activity. These influencing agents tend to pull and push the guidelines of the
developed policies in different directions that too in extreme conditions such as crisis. The
general public are the stakeholders in a policy and increasing public concerns that are relevant to
sustainable development can help in modification of the policy. The presence of public opinions
can be acknowledged by citizen rallies or the results of electoral politics that influence
governmental decisions about the policies. The economic development and its associated
changes affect the delivery of health and social care by recognising the importance of
effectiveness in decision-making skills. There is a possibility that the government might modify
the healthcare policies to earn benefit from the increased subsidies. This increase in subsidies
and tax policy changes is due to tax legislation changes, consumer protection and insurance
mandates which directly affects the government spending for healthcare (Asmundson and Afifi,
2019). Economic factors such as inflation and high interest rate hugely affect the healthcare
organisations reasons of which could be loss of services, high unemployment rate or high taxes.
In cases where people cannot avail the free benefits that are provided, they are unlikely to pay
the entire costs of the treatment and will prefer becoming ill. This is the reason why people are
