PROVIDING ACCURATE INFORMATION
Man Power Training Services provides prospective students clear, accurate,
sufficient, and timely information to assist them in making informed choices
about our services. The information that we provide to prospective students
include:
Fees, including course fees, administration fees, material fees and other
charges (e.g., extension fees)
Course outcomes and pathways
Training and assessment arrangements including RPL (recognition of prior
learning)
Selection and enrolment of students
Client support services (e.g., support provided in LLN)
Legislative and occupational licensing requirements
Equity support
Complaints and appeals procedures
MPTS assures that information provided to prospective and current students are
accurate and of value, we do this by:
Reviewing information when training and assessment strategies are
changed
Ensuring that staff members check for the accuracy and currency of the
information before it is made available to the students
Collecting feedback from clients, including students, about whether they
service they received meet the expectations set for them during the
information session
Benchmarking with other high-performing providers
Pre-enrolment Information
MPTS developed procedures for staff about the provision of pre-enrolment
information, as well. The pre-enrolment information can be accessed through
MPTS’ website.
For prospective students who do not have access to the Internet, hard copy
brochures are also available. Applicants are also provided with an information
session outline, PowerPoint presentation, and handouts. The pre-enrolment
procedures and information the students can access both online and through
print also state that they must attend an information session before they are
considered for entry into their chosen course.
This pre-enrolment information includes: a comprehensive description of the
courses, entry requirements, the qualifications that students will receive upon
completion, possible career paths, further education and training opportunities,
information about complaints and appeals processes, legislation that affects
