Stream reflective report
A) Transferable skills
The transferable skills are termed as those skills or qualities that can be transferred from
one job to another. Many transferable skills are already possessed by employees such as
organizing and communication which employer usually looks in the employees (Noe et.al.
2017). In addition to this, I have acquired dependability which includes punctuality and
responsibility. Employer seeks in for people whom can be trusted to achieve tasks. This helps to
manage relationships, goals and assignments on time. Apart from it, I have gained strong team
work skills. I am able to work with my colleagues to accomplish common goal. Empathy, active
listening are main pillars of team work. In relation to this, providing teamwork examples during
interviews will help employers understanding how employee with others in organization in a
better way.
Furthermore, organized person is able to complete tasks and assignments on time. This
ability has been adapted by me helping in meeting deadlines; communicate with people and
taking notes that tasks are met (Hamori, 2017). Organization skill has been achieved by me.
Hence, it can be said these all skills are acquired by me and will further help in growing my
career in business and management field.
B) Transferable skills need to develop further
There are various skills which helped in completing internship in effective manner.
However, some skills are yet to be developed so that personal and professional development can
be further improved. Adaptability is one such skill which needs to be developed. Employers hire
candidates who are flexible enough to adapt to product change, project or management change.
They look for people who can quickly learn new skills as per market demand; ensuring work is
done with positive attitude etc. (Hutter et.al., 2017). I lack here, thus, need to be flexible to get
up on employer’s cards.

Another skill needs to be acquired is technology literacy. Every position in any industry
requires some sort of basic use of technology (Mauro, 2017). Here, comfort to navigate new
technology is a need of hour. Learning new software at quick glance will be accomplished by me
once, I become flexible. Leadership skill is also quite important at higher job level. The
leadership skill is perfect blend of strong communication, dependability and organizing. Most
employer value leadership skill because employee who can reach to common goal with their
leadership quality are real assets of firm. Hence, it can be said that these skills are to be acquired
for better career growth.
C) Demonstration to future employer
The skills and talents are to be shown or demonstrated to employer so that he may be able
to realise my potential in the business and management field with ease (Fu et.al., 2017). It is
needed because competition in the market is fierce and only that person could survive which
possess multi-dimensional skills and also effectively showcase the same to potential employers.
In addition to this, communicating with team members during important events could really
benefit me to attract employer.
The presence of mind and good confidence level will help in luring company’s official
towards me. This will eradicate obstacles in my way and as a result, good demonstration to
future employer can be made. Motivating and incorporating leadership skills will be helpful in
luring future employer as a part of my transferable skills in the best way possible. It can be
analysed that by motivating staff even by minute work-related things will surely help in engaging
in good deeds from the perspective of employer (Armstrong and Mitchell, 2019).

The work-based experience in practical life helps in gaining good experience as to how
corporate world operates. It can be analysed that business world teaches wide range of work and
things which helps in getting success in future career and growth can be accomplished

internship at Madek International CO. and gathered role of HR assistant. The company is a well-
experienced recruitment team providing medical recruitment for past several years. The
organisation has skills and knowledge for offering quality service and looking after requirements

of doctors and client hospitals for their betterment. Moreover, it provides both permanent and
locum work in hospitals across whole of the UK.
Company has head office at Jeddah, Saudi Arabia providing job services to clients in
effective manner. Thus, it can be said that through this firm, I was able to realize my potentials in
effective manner (Gage, MacSuga-Gage and Crews, 2017). Further, I was able to contribute to
my team of HR so as to enhance client hospitals’ satisfaction for offering them well-experienced
doctors quite effectually. This helped me in getting adequate experience in the field and learned a
lot from it.
B) Outline of work performed during internship
The work which has been carried out by me was HR Manager’s assistant to complete my
internship in due course of time. It can be analysed that I have performed helping manager to
achieve HR related tasks (Alvehus, 2018). I had substantiated skills of applicants with the help of
taking tests. Scheduling and coordinating appointments were done by me as well. On the other
side, I welcomed new employees to the firm by conducting orientation to make them feel
comfortable and familiar with the firm. Further, I had provided payroll information by collecting
timely records of attendees to my HR.
Apart from it, as an HR Manager’s assistant, I maintained information of employee by
making entry of employment and status-change data. Secretarial support was also given by me
by formatting and printing information, answering telephones and replying messages etc. I also
maintained employees’ information confidential and protected it from third party. Quality service
was adhered as per organisational standards in effectual manner. I exercised technical knowledge
by making presence in educational workshops given by seniors. Thus, all this work was
performed by me in the internship at the workplace.
C) Ways in which internship improved my transferable skills
The transferable skills being already discussed are useful which can be transferred from
one job to another. There are various ways through internship which helped me in improving my
transferable skills up to a high extent (Schiemann and Ulrich, 2017). For example, I attended a
workshop given by senior, in the workshop, I found that motivation and leadership skill being
deployed by senior was quite mesmerising. Thus, for improving my skills and becoming leader
in the future, strong motivation and leadership skills are important. On the other hand, I

encountered that adaptability was required in performing job in a better manner. This means that
adapting to different situations is needed to perform HR assistant job in appropriate way.
Furthermore, my senior member conducted orientation program to make me familiar with
the work of company. It provided me with greater flexibility to enhance my transferable skills. I
worked out of my way by getting help from colleagues and as a result, my team work skills were
improvised up to a high extent. Thus, allocated work was completed on time (Bindon, 2017).
Hence, it can be assessed that I was benefited with internship in the company to improvise my
transferable skills.
D) Ways in which skills were used add value to internship organisation
The transferable skills and other hidden talents were effectively used to add value to
internship organisation. Properly listening to my senior for work to perform as per standards so
that no shortcomings may occur (Sato and Haegele, 2017). Further, adhering to organisational
standards for performing work adequately was done to add value to firm. In similar manner, I
performed work by meeting deadlines so that company’s productivity may not get decline. This
means that reputation of company was not hampered in any manner. Apart from it, I exercised
time management in getting work done so as to enhance efficiency and overcome difficulties in
meeting work (Ramseur et.al., 2018).
Another way through which I added value and creativity to organisation was that by
incorporating team work (Medina, Castleberry and Persky, 2017). With the help of this,
duplication and overlapping of work was mitigated as every individual worked as a team to
achieve common goal. Technology is integral part of today’s life and thus, I prepared reports and
recorded attendees or applicants to furnish the same to my senior team member. This means that
usage of technology was made in most productive manner (Jensen and Rasmussen, 2018). Thus,
I can say that internship has benefited in me thoroughly in shaping my professional life in
righteous path by which I can gain new heights in my future to become successful in the field.
