How and why Mini project workshops have contributed towards development of my
employability:
I am a student of university and my university provided me a opportunity to participate in
various mini project workshops. Such mini project workshops incorporates various innovative
projects which enables improvisation in my skills and expertise that pertains major contribution
in increment of my employability. It provides an edge towards recruitment race and ensures
development of career. Participating in such mini project workshops provides gaining of
practical knowledge which enables competitive edge in this race of employability. These
workshops proved to be extremely helpful in enhancing my employability and improvised by
efficiency or skills which helps in attaining my personal and career objectives. It incorporated
different kinds of classes for cover letter, reading log, presentation, time management etc. Such
skills are highly required in this competitive corporate world. Cover letter can be defined as
letter of introduction that is attached or accompanied with other documents, such as, CV or
resume. This written document is submitted commonly with a application of job for the purpose
of outlining credentials as well as interest of an applicant in a position that is open. Gaining
knowledge regarding preparation of cover letter proved to to be of great help in enhancement of
my employability skills. It helps me in demonstrating my interest areas and researches to a
employer. Career development plan refers to a personalised strategy that assists a person
regarding achievement of career goals. Preparation of career development plan helps me in
defining my career path of future, along with it, my core competencies as well as weaknesses are
identified through it which can be enhanced with effective strategies and hard work. CV or
curriculum vitae can be explained as a written outline of a person's work. It provides idea of my
personality and characteristics, along with it, preparation of CV highlights my skills and
expertise which provides competitive edge to my employability. Goal setting worksheet is
prepared for the purpose of setting deadlines or targets which ensures enhancement in career path
of an person which further improvised my skills related to employability. It incorporates setting
of goals with SMART approach (Zhou and et.al., 2019). Hence, it helps me setting targets which
are specific, measurable, achievable, relevant as well as time bound. Reading log refers to a
journal in which person records its reading activity. Preparation of reading log provides
summarized overview of my reading progress which motivates me to read effective books that
improvises my knowledge and ensures development of personality. Skills worksheet helps a

person in assessment of skills which ensures its enhancement. Evaluation pf team contribution
and weaknesses in team work enables analysis of factors in which person is good at while
contributing in a team work and identifies factors that is required to be developed. This
assessment improvised my team work which is a required skill for employability in this

planning. It improvised my core competencies and provided work life balance. Time
management log enables recording time that is required to be spent in each activity by
considering its priority. It served as an helpful approach for accomplishing tasks at shorter time
which increases my employable opportunities. Communication skills can be indicated as an
ability of giving as well as receiving information in an adequate manner. It increases my
productivity and promotes team building. Career test is an effective technique which ensures
estimation of my career interests. Lastly, this mini workshop provided enabled enhancement of
my interpersonal skills that helped me in developing and fostering my employability (Liu, 2019).
As per my views, these mini workshops proved to be an effective approach for development of
my employability skills.
