INTRODUCTION
Digital marketing can be referred to as a component of marketing that involves
the use of internet as well as online based technologies inn order to promote products
as well as services. It is important because it helps an organization to attract more traffic
as well as reach out to an increased audience (Chen and et.al., 2021). On the other
hand, social media can be referred to as a computer-based technology that involves
sharing of idea and information through virtual networks such as Facebook, Twitter and
Instagram that are referred to as social media platforms. The report explains the
concept of marketing and marketing mix. It also explains what social media marketing
and digital marketing is and why digital marketing and social media marketing are all
important to contemporary businesses. Lastly, the report also includes a description
about why the social media content is effective.
PART 1
Explain what marketing is
Marketing refers to all the activities that are undertaken by an organization in
order to promote the buying or selling of products as well as services. The different
marketing activities include branding, promotion, advertising, campaigns etc. Marketing
is an important component for any organization because it allows it to develop and
maintain long-lasting relationships with the customers (Daries, Cristobal-Fransi and
Ferrer-Rosell, 2021). The reason for this is that customer engagement is one of the
most important aspects for any company and can contribute to its overall success. An
organization can adopt different marketing strategies in order to create awareness

among the customers as well as reach out to a greater number of people. As far as the
customers are concerned, marketing helps them in developing an understanding about
the products as well as services that are offered by a business as well as how can it be
of value to them. It can be said that there are different advantages of marketing such as
it allows the company to utilize its resources in an effective manner as well as create
new and improved products at lower and affordable prices (Earley, 2021). An
organization should effectively plan and implement marketing activities because it can
help in strengthening its brand image. Therefore, it can be said that marketing is an
important aspect that can contribute to the overall growth and success of an
organization.
Explain what the marketing mix is and where the communications mix fits
The marketing mix refers to the set of tactics or actions that a business or a
company uses in order to promote its brand in the market. by identifying as well as
arranging the different elements of marketing mix allows a company to make informed
as well as profitable decisions (Hackley and Hackley, 2021). These decisions can help
the business in becoming more competitive as well as adaptable within the market. The
marketing mix is made up of 4 Ps that are explained below.
Product – It refers to the item that is being sold and must deliver a minimum
level of performance (Definition of 'Marketing Mix', 2021).
Price – Proce is the value that is put for a product and it depends on factors like
the cost of production, segment targeted, demand and supply etc.
