INTRODUCTION
Portfolio is designed or developed for working professional and also used by them,
students and organizations to highlight their best work & display skills, accomplishments,
achievements and potential. The purpose of portfolio is categorized into three types, first is to
evaluate coursework quality, progress, academic achievement and learning. Second identify
whether individual have met learning standards and third purpose is to document person
understanding on specific curriculum results. The current study is based on mini project
workshops and will explain its contribution in context of employability. This assignment will
describe reading log, reflection, time management, photo log, action plan and summary of
portfolio content.

Mini project workshops contribution towards development of employability
Acquiring skills are very important for me and other people as well it make further career
more powerful and stronger (Kalam and Hamdan, 2018). People always seek to obtain new skills
and improve the existing one for better career in future. Significance of skills acquisition
includes diverse job chances, effective function, self employment and employment generation. It
can be said that acquiring new skills is a habit that aids in profession and career. It can be a
communication, group work, resume writing, SWOT analysis and time management skills. All
these skills I will required for my further employability after completing academic years.
Here, mini project workshops contribution has been discussed in context of employability
development. CV writing is the main topic of first workplace it teaches me how to write
appropriate CV to apply for the best and great job in the future (Jackson and Robbins, 2019). CV
writing is very important and useful skill that helps in my further career. I can say that this skill
contribute in my employability in effective manner. With this workshop I can comprehend how
to explore job profiles and learn how to clearly present myself through a document. It gives an
insight to me about world of work and better prepares me for work experience.

In context of second workshop, interview preparation is discussed and teach by
experienced person that also help in development of my employability that is really very
essential for my professional career success as well as growth (Jackson and Robbins, 2019). It
teaches me how to behave and present myself in front of recruiter in the future for getting great
job. With this skill I can reduce my anxiety by familiarizing myself with situation, it will boost
my confidence level about the things I do well and allow me to preview any interviewing
weakness that I have. With interview preparation procedures I can enhance my communication
abilities rather than before and it also make me perfect.
After making discussion about two mini project workshops it’s time to consider the last
one and that is public speaking workshop (Grieve, 2020). The purpose of this effective public
speaker workshop is to enhance individual communication skills and make them able to present
themselves in front of many people around presentation area. In professional career workers had
to present their work in front of management with this workshop I can learn how to give my best
it also boost up my morale and motivational level. I learn a lot from this workshop for example
make new social connections and expand my professional network in ethical manner.
Reading log
I create reading log to record my reading activity in effective manner. It is a note of what
did it read, when did it read and how many pages I read. This is the best way to summarize what
I read. My purpose to create this log is to track my and other reading volume. After reading
different articles I understand how to improve my reading skills and also comprehend varied
topics related to academic development. Reading log help in my academic development as it
allows me to record and store reading data and enhance my learning. It aids my academic
development practice by rereading books.
Time management
Time management is one of the best ways that help me to organize and plan how long I
spend on academic development (Studencan and et.al., 2018). It refers to the procedure of
exercising and planning conscious control of time spent on my academic and professional
development. It make me able to work smarter along with harder so that I get more done in less
time and even when time is limited. It helps and contributes to higher productivity, enhance
performance and less stress. Better time management makes be able to conduct or accomplish

multiple accountabilities and tasks. I use my time in academic development or within getting
higher education.
Photo log
It is a form of publishing and photo sharing in format of a blog, it can be present in form
of written or typed up form in class. It is quite different from a blog through predominant utilize
of and centre on photographs along with text. I create photo log because it help me to keep or
save all the information that I can use in academic development. The purpose behind creating
photo log is to easily gather data with images that can be effectively referenced for my further
assignment. With photo log I learn how to conduct SWOT analysis, comprehend group work and
understanding employability.

Reflection
Group presentation is an essential part of academic development and enhancement, it
allow me to enhance my current abilities and knowledge rather than before. The purpose of this
element is to seek out and study data concerning a text that will be valuable to my assignment. It
will cater an introduction to work and also aid others in team determine what is controversial,
interesting and artistic about concept. It can be said that group presentation contribute in my
academic as well as professional development in effective manner as while working in team I
can develop new skills and abilities. Group presentation enhances my existing skills and

knowledge and help to develop the new one. It helps in development of my abilities that are
increasingly essential in academic and professional life.
Positive group’s experiences have been shown to support to my learning and knowledge
retention. It aid me to develop capabilities specific to collaborative efforts allow me to tackles
more difficult issues than I could on their own, delegate accountabilities and roles, share diverse
perspectives, obtain group support and encouragement to take risks. While working in and taking
part in group presentation I can enhance my understanding of specific subject or topics related to
professional and academic field. By discussing particular concept with individual or classmates I
can learn something new and perfection, it includes sharing of knowledge and experience with
other. It opens avenues to me to learn more, when I discuss and work with my friends I can learn
all the important skills and things which make me able to perform effectively.
Action Plan
It is essential document that lists what actions or steps can be taken in order to achieve
specific aims or objective. The purpose of this thing is to clarify what assets are needed to reach
short or long term goal, formulate a timeframe for when particular tasks need to be completed
and identify what resources are required. It is one of the best way or simple list of all skills and
development I needed to finish or accomplish to meet my aims. Here, action plan is develop in
context of achieving my aims or objectives.
Goal-
My aim is to develop academic skills and employability that is quite beneficial in further
career growth. It makes me able to complete academic year with high scores and allow obtaining
better job in future.
Importance of aim-
Above goal is very important for me it secure my future and present as well by
developing skills and increasing knowledge I can work much better than other individuals.
Specific Focus-

I will specifically focus on time management because it makes me capable focus on all
the important activities which I need to complete in effective manner.
Way to know progress towards aim-
In order to measure my progress and growth towards my aim I have to choose the best
way like compare previous and current scores that work effectively. In context of professional
area, I will know when I am making progress towards my aims by taking feedback from my
leaders.
Short term goals-
To achieve my aim I had to take appropriate action and develop short term aims. My
short term aim is to develop group work skills.
Long term aims-
Action that I can take over period of time is to get high scores and better job after
completing my academic year.
Resources-
To achieve my aims I need important resources that support me a lot, for example I need
computer or laptop to search specific top and some print image or articles in which all the
information about my subject is available.

From above workshops I had learn so many skills and gain information that help in my
professional as well as academic career growth better than other people who do not attend above
mini project workshops. CV writing, interview preparation and public speaking elements have
been described above that effectively contributed in my employability.
A curriculum vita is a detailed and important document that highlights my professional as
well as academic history clearly. After attending first workshop I learn how to prepare CV that
helps to get a specific job according to my skills and knowledge after completing graduation. I
may be asked to submit a CV when applying for vacancies in companies outside or in home

town. In simple words, I can say that by creating a strong CV and writing good profile I can
obtain the best job opportunity in the future. I learn how to professionally write CV that really
does put me in right frame of mind for my job search. When I write my experience and skill, I
will feel good about myself and about my knowledge and understand what I have achieved.
Another component discussed in mini project workshop is interview preparation, this
element also contribute in development of my employability. It really works for my development
and prepare myself for further situation. By taking review from my friends and family members
who are doing job in big firm I analyzed that attending an interview is so stressful and makes
applicants feel anxious. But I can save myself from all these situations as it learn through
interview preparation workshops that teaches me how to perform for future interview. It makes
me feel ready for challenge and also aids to overcome anxiety in systematic manner. It is
connected to previous point topic, so basically when I learn to overcome my anxieties I also tend
to gain little bit confidence level that allow me perform hard at the interview procedure.
Public speaking is the best procedure of communicating data or gather info to an
audience. It is mostly done before a wide population like workplace and even in conference
meeting. This component helps in my employability development which makes me capable to
enhance my professional career. Public speaking workshop helps me to become better presenters
and allow me to present my work in front of seniors and other Board of members in the future. It
trains me on cues I will look out for through body language and eye contact. It will make be
capable to determine what works and what does not. Public speaking skills also enable me to
develop my listening capabilities and comprehend complex concepts.
CONCLUSION
From above analysis it has been concluded that project workshops play vital role in
development of employability. It allow person to learn many things and develop specific skills
like public speaking, communication and more that help for future job position after graduation.
