Contingency model of leadership
Contingency leadership is the way of leading by which leaders mainly focuses on
matching effectiveness of leadership on the basis of situation. There are mainly 3
contingency model of leadership such as:
Fiedler's model: According to this model of leadership, it states that a leader's
effectiveness is determined by his/her way of leading and matching that style
according to the situation. It also interpreted that there is not other and the best
way of leading as leaders have to adapt their style as per the organizational
situation.

Vroom and Yetton model
This is a situational leadership theory which says that the best leadership style of
guiding people is contingent to the situation. There are 5 main decision-making
style under this model such as:
Autocratic 1: According to this style, leaders make decision at their own basis and
from all those informations which are already available to him/her.
Autocratic 2: In this style, leader collects informations from all members but and
then make decisions on their own basis.
