INTRODUCTION Principles of management are generally considered to activities that carries planning, organising as well as controlling various operations of business practices effective and accurate direction could be provided to workforce to have efficiency of working. These practices are basically carried to accomplish desired objectives within specified period of time. This report is based on principles of management which is being carried by reflection essay. This report consists of understanding which is grabbed from different modules, learning from feedback which is received, next action plan which is being carried followed by its conclusion. MAIN BODY Reflection Week 1 With this module it has provided me a brief guidance of management. As firstly I was told to introduce myself and afterward that module started in which I learned about meaning and relevance of management in business along with what skills are required to be carried with managerinordertocarryeffectivemanagementpractices.Ilearnedtheselearningsby understanding management style of Steve Jobs. From this module I got a positive response from my tutor and it has helped me increasing my skills about being a good manager. Along with it could help me in getting a new deep insight about relevancy of management. Week 2 With this module I revised my understanding of management by analysing roles and tasks of management. In this module I was told to analyse a case study of Ryanair and apply my knowledge in that case study. With that I able to get an understanding of role and d functions of management in managing company’s operations. I learned about internal as well as external surroundings which are to be analysed for managing any company’s operations in an effective way. This module has given me a feedback of carrying out various activities in an effective manner. From this week module it has provided me a knowledge of managing various practices that could help me in carrying out future business practices at job. Week 3 By coming up this week module I came to understand about roles ad task of management in performing out business practices effectively. Along with I learned that it is necessary for 1
companies to external and internal environment of companies so that practices could be carried in that manner. For revising that a discussion was being carried where performed about explaining my knowledge and understanding about management. Afterwards in grabbed my learning towards management and it could provide me a brief guidance about management and its practices which is beneficial for me in developing my personal and professional growth. Week 4 By coming on to this module it has I have learned about various management theory by implementingdifferentmodels.Iunderstandaboutmanagementtheoryandhistorical developments of management approaches and understanding about how these models are related with various practice of businesses. In this week module weekly quiz was being carried where I was analysed by my tutor on basis of my learnings. I was provided with good and effective feedback which has enhanced my learning. From this week learning it could benefit me in getting an insight into various classical and contemporary management for being an effective manager. Week 5 In this week module I got a deeper understanding of management concept in running business practices. I understood about management theories and its interrelationship which is embed in having competitive values frameworks. In this lecture I revised earlier understood CVF and rational goal model. Along with I understood about use of internal process model which was carried by analysing and understanding working practices of Weber and Henry Fayol. This week module has provided me a brief guidance about relevancy and concept of different model that are propounded by effective researchers of management. This week module has carried various discussions and got feedback for increasing my knowledge base more. This module could help in future for increasing my knowledge in management area. Week 6 It was my last learning week module which has provided me deeper understanding of concept of management. In this week lecture I am able to learn about my understanding of CVF model in terms of competing values framework. With that I was provided with case study of Apple Inc. where I analysed management learning by identifying contingency approach that could help in getting a deeper insight of various value frameworks. Major purpose of this week lecture is to enhance my academic skills that could help in having my personal and professional 2
