Apart from that the capital can be gathered in an easy way through this kind of partnership. In this context, of private-public partnership is the construction of Mumbai Metro project. In this paper, the demand of the project and the benefits of the project will be discussed. Apart from that the impact of the metro project in the environment and the society will be evaluated through the discussion. At the end the scope for the improvement of the project will be presented along with the lessons learnt from the project. The conclusion is drawn from the facts presented in the discussion. Discussion Mumbai metro development project is the example of pubic private partnership in the infrastructure project. The estimated time period for the project is 15 years. There are different lines of Mumbai metro. Line 1 of Mumbai Metro system will be operated by Metro One Operation Private Limited. This company is a joint venture between RATP Dev Transdev Asia and Reliance Infrastructure. On the other hand line 2,4,6,7 are under the control of MMRDA. Line 3 will be built by Mumbai Metro Corporation Limited. It has been seenthatthereareinvolvementofthemanystakeholdersandthepartnersforthe development of the whole project. Strategic value for the project and the demand with projected benefits of the stakeholders The development of the metro in Mumbai will help to improvement of the public transport in this metropolitan city. Apart from that the use of both the railway and metro will bring the flexibility in the transportation system of the organization.

There are seven stakeholders involved in the development of the project. This also includes the government organization. Apart from that the common people are also included in the stakeholder list As there are 7 organizations bagged the Metro rail project, it has become easier for the Government of Maharashtra to collect the required capital for the investment. Apart from that with the increasing number of transports the common people can avail the flexibility of the system. The demand from the project requires large amount of capital. The investment of the 7 companies in the organization have made it possible to manage the large capital investment. Impact and society and environment The development of the Mumbai Metro railway project has certain impacts on the society and environment. The society will be benefitted as it will help to deliver the better transportation service. On the other hand, the people can visit the distance places in a short period of time. Apart from that one of the biggest problem people face during the mega block of the railway. The railway service get delayed due to this track maintenance initiatives. During the mega block, the use of metro rail can become a convenient option for the people. On the other hand the development of the Mumbai metro can have the negative impact on the environment. During the development process, the consumption of the energy will be high. This will eventually increase the carbon footprint during the process. Apart from that during the running of the metro rail large amount of energy will be used for that reason that environment can get affected in a negative way. If the triple bottom line approach is applied in the context of Mumbai metro rail construction, it can be said among the three factors in the triple bottom line context social and economic factors can get benefitted from the construction of metro railway. There is a chance that the environmental factor may be overlooked during the planning phase of the project. During the execution of the project, maintaining the environment is needed to be done. In this case, the designing of the engine and the infrastructure are needed to be developed in a way that it consumes less energy during plying. Apart from that all the requirements regarding acquiring of the land for the project and maintaining legal aspects of the project are needed to be maintained in a proper way. These are regarded as scopes for improvement of the project. Leadership lessons learnt from the project There are some leadership lessons those can be learnt from the development of the metro railway for Mumbai. The main challenge for leader for this kind of project is maintaining the complexity of the project in a proper way. The execution phase of this project is going to be complex as there are construction of different lines present in this project. The main challenge for the project leader is make the team members to manage to do the work in different modules. The compilation of the modules are needed to be done within the deadline. Apart from that managing the capital is another challenge for the project leader as there are seven investors involved in the project. The leadership lesson that is learnt from this project is that the leader leading the complex project needs good analytical skills so that he or she could coordinate among the different functionalities in the project. Conclusion The discussion is regarding managing the projects of Mumbai Metro Railway. It has been seen that the involvement of the stakeholder is a higher degree level for this project. Apart from that the proper compilation of this kind of complex project needs excellent

It can be said from the discussion that the presence of more than one project management leader is needed for the compilation of this kind of project.
