Introduction
Employee attitude towards the work speaks much about their intention and
motivation for doing the work. Usually, people work to satisfy their various needs and to
gain the position which they have dreamed of. With the success of the last report, this
report assessment would discuss why people work and the various motivation which can
be applied in the organization (Wang and Johnson, 2020) Even so, the following
assessment would also outline in what ways the factors like salary, promotion and the
working environment culture could influence the employee motivation and purpose to
work along with the positive and negative experience which they face in their job roles.
Moreover, the following assessment also proposed the strategies which can be applied
to decrease the impact of negative factors and mitigate those factors more prominently.
What does Motivation Mean?
Motivation is set as the argument which helps people to keep doing to achieve the
results which are hard to achieve for others. Hence motivation is that source of energy
that changes the mindset or the behavior of the person in front of a particular aim and do
the task more effectively. Motivation is the source of inspiration which may be elements
that can be taken from the internal and external surroundings. Employees working on the
floor get motivated by the various elements that make the judgment whether they are
doing the particular job effectively and as per the job demands by the manager or the
director. To motivate employee at the workplace, management and leaders uses the
extrinsic and intrinsic incentive to perform better and be productive. Hence, motivation
factors are the psychological makeup took of the management which helps them to make
employee work extra than of their regular capability and extend their fell essence about
the task.
Maslow Hierarchy theory of needs which was made known by Abraham Maslow
who is a psychologist in 1943 which is one of the wide sources of motivation concept in
the workplace in this 21st century (Navy, 2020). According to Maslow's need theory, a
person is impulsively ambitious to build themselves and attain their most potential and go
to extra mile for their job roles. These impulsive ambitions can be personal needs which
are ranging from the basic need i.e. food and shelter and safety, a higher degree of
affection of self belonging, and self-esteem. If management satisfies these needs they
can easily get understand that the foremost reason for people to work is to satisfy their
