Introduction
Strategic management is the process of planning, implementing and monitoring all the
required strategies which helps the company to achieve their goals. The main reason behind
making effective strategies is to defend from the threats which are created by change in business
environment (Poister and Streib, 2018). It also consists to check the effectiveness of all those
strategies which is already made by company. In case they are found ineffective then company
should change the strategies and implement another effective strategy at workplace. Amazon is a
multinational technology company whi9ch sell products through online. It is founded in 1994 by
its founder Jeff Bezos. It is headquartered in Seattle, Washington, US. The following report
covers competitive strengths, market position and areas where improvement across the value
chain of Amazon, the company’s pursuit of competitive advantage and reflection of learning
criteria.

Performance of company
Performance of company is evaluated by knowing that how much competitive
advantage a company is gaining and having trust of employees and customers. It also considers
identifying target market and the recommendation for improvement in the area where the
company is lacking behind. Performance of Amazon can be evaluated the factors explained
below-
Competitive strengths- It is the factor which tell the strengths of company which help
them to compete with their competitors well and gain competitive advantage in market
(Baltabayeva and et. al., 2020). In context of Amazon, they are popular for offering free shipping
and convenience of products to their customers which is a good strategy because many online
companies include delivery chargers and many other charges to deliver the product. Hence, due
to this reason customers prefer Amazon more than other online companies. It also provides vast
variety of products to choose and easy return policy is there at Amazon in case their customers
receive any damage product. Their returning policy service is to fast which attracts more
