Significance of academic
INTRODUCTION
Skills are the talent or expertise that enables a person to
become effective learner or supports to deal with tasks. In this
poster will highlight significance of academic skills for the
person.
Strengths and weaknesses of this module
The major strengths of the approaches are that these approaches were
completely based on development of academic skills. So, it has become quite easy for
me to develop my academic skills like time management skills, communication skills,
practical critical thinking skills etc. in effective manner. But the major drawback of
these approaches is that there were some clips were not recorded effective content
means most of the clips were repeating similar contents. So, I have to screen out all
approaches which I have taken to develop my academic skills which consumed more
time of me (Shapiro and et.al., 2017).
Adapt Approaches
However, I have learnt good time management skills, practical critical
thinking and academic skills that I would adapt in future to deal with different issues
which I could face in university courses. For example, time management approach
would support me to complete projects within time deadline which would assign by
senior authorities in university. While practical critical thinking approach, it would
support me to analyse information and advice which would provide by lecturers. This
information I could use to develop my learning and develop skills in future for study
(Usmeldi, Amini and Trisna, 2017). Thus, I would adapt different approaches to study
in future.

A Learning Model to Develop Critical Thinking Skills for Students with
Different Academic Abilities has publisged by Mahanal, S and et.al., in 2019 that I
used to develop my critical thinking skills as well as different academic abilities
which requires to have in a student. Time management: skills to learn and put into
practice is another published research paper that was proposed by Sainz, M.A.,
Ferrero, A.M. and Ugidos, A., in 2019 through which I learned significance of time
management skills and I develop this skill effectively. Development and validity of
the Rating Scales of Academic Skills for Reading Comprehension is also used by
me to measure my academic skills which I have developed during this module. A
model of critical thinking as an important attribute for success in the 21st century is
a published journal that provided me understanding significance of academic skills for
21st century purpose. I also learned that these skills support students to become a
effective learner. The development of research-based learning model with science,
environment, technology, and society approaches to improve critical thinking of
students is another published article through which I understood that critical thinking
is important for all background. So, it is important for the students to posses’ practical
critical thinking skills that will support them to select right course for the future study
purpose. Thus, different authors who have proposed different views for the projected
skills through which I enabled to develop my undeveloped potential areas in effective
manner.

Self-reflection
This module is completely based on academic skills
from which I have learnt many things such as good academic
enables individual to become good participant and learner. If a
person has good academic skills then it became easy for them to
become effective or bright student in future. there is one of the
most essential things is that in this module significance of skills
has been summarized more effectively (Mahanal and et.al., 2019).
For example, academic skills are considered bag of the skills in
which includes learning habbit skills, learning strategies and time
management tools that supports academic students to learn and
comprehension their school lessons. I also have learnt that
language skills in which include technology literacy, writing and
reading skills that also helps student to deeply learn all key
lessons of each discipline. In this module also have learnt about
practical critical thinking (ŽivkoviL·, 2016). It is important for the
students because it brings success in academic studies after
graduation as well. With this module, I understand importance of
practical critical thinking in present and future perspective. In this
learning journey, I felt better because there were several skills
which I already posses’. But I became disappointed when I got to
know that I am lacking behind fewer skills which are essential for
the future growth. To develop academic skills, I watch overall
classes on the links which already have given in this module.
Priorly I took question and answer session that was completely
based on academic disclosure (Sainz, Ferrero and Ugidos, 2019).
I also used academic text strategies approach, compensation and
composition skills approach in order to develop effective
CONCLUSION
This poster has been concluded significance of academic, practical critical
thinking, time management skills etc. which supported student to study in future and
made them effective learner. It has summarized strengths and weaknesses of the
approach which have taken by me to develop skills for future.
