Personal reflection
Gibb's reflective model is a reflective cycle model of reflection that leads towards six
different stages that explores an experience. The main idea of this model is that it encourages
people to think in a systematic manner about experiences they had during a particular situation,
activity or event. This model can be used into different stages and I have used Gibb's reflective
model for purpose of reflective journal. It has been defined into following manner:
Description of the experience: While taking the interview, my experience is that I need
to study deeply job profile of physiotherapist Band 5 in deeper manner so that I can analyse the
candidate into appropriate manner. While preparing questions for interview I have to deeply
research the critical questions so that I can test or analyse the employee into required format. My
experience for dealing with different kinds of candidates is different for everyone so its difficult
for me to be consistent in terms of questions for every kind of candidate. From perspective of
interviewee, my experience is that I have to prepare myself into appropriate manner because
somewhere I got stuck in certain questions while answering for it.
Feelings and thoughts about the experience: I was feeling little bit nervous while
taking interview because I have never taken interview of such kind of profile. My thoughts are
running continuously in such a manner that how can I cross question from the candidate so that I
can test the candidate into appropriate manner. I was feeling confident while giving interview
because I want to particularly make career in this field so I was very much happy and pretty sure
about my selection. My thoughts while giving the interview is in such a manner that I have to be
very prompt with every kind of situation because any kind of break will develop second thoughts
in the minds of interviewer.
Evaluation of the experience:I have evaluated that it was a good experience for me
because I have taken first time interview of this particular profile. I also evaluated that if I had
prepare myself in a more deeper manner then I take interview with full confidence and there is
no need to think about in second manner for cross questioning with the candidate. I have
evaluated that a strategy needs to be prepared in order to analyse the candidate from every
perspective. I have evaluated that while giving interview that l have to prepare myself for the
random questions so that I do not loose my confidence level and do not deviate from my main
strategy of giving interview.

Analysis to make sense of the situation: I have analysed that I take the interview into
appropriate manner and I have followed the appropriate format for taking interview that's why it
went into appropriate manner. Somewhere I have faced problems in analysing the candidate into
deeper manner because it is difficult to judge a candidate into one single round of interview and
it takes to judge the candidate from every parameter. I have also analysed that my deeper
analysis for the profile is helpful in terms of selecting an appropriate candidate for an
organisation. While giving interview, I have analysed that I have to set my standard high and
knowledge up to the mark so that I got selected in the company on frequent basis. While giving
interview I have analysed that I have to work on my weak points so that I can give the interview
with full confidence level and can give to the point answers of all the questions that has been
asked.
Conclusion: I have concluded that I have learned for this profile it is required that to
study in the consistent manner for taking the interview into effective manner. I have also
concluded this is a kind of serious profile so documents and experience letter needs to be cross
checked into appropriate manner so that no one can mislead the interview into negative
spectrum. While giving interview, I have concluded that I have to learn lots of concepts which
are based on practical experiences which is helpful for me for my further development and
growth.
Action Plan: When I have to take the interview again for this profile or need to deal with
this situation again, next time I will be more prepared with more questions which are based on
practical experiences. While giving interview for the same profile, I will be more prepared for
this profile and deeply analyse the situation of practical experiences so that I can learn on the
frequent basis.
So Gibb's reflective model is very helpful in terms of analysing situation from every perspective
so that further development and improvement can be done for improving the situation into
positive manner. That's why Gibb's reflective model is very important for analysing situation

Supporting statement
Please tell us why you applied for this job and why you think you are the best
person for the job.
I am a highly ambitios HCPC registered Physiotherapist with five years
of work experience. I have also extensive voluntary experience within
hospital settings in all areas of physiotherapy.
My work experience ranges from working with adult patients in
hospital and private clinics suffering from a wide range of conditions
(MSK, respiratory, cardiovascular, neurological) to working with children
and young people.
On my daily work I utilised different types of manual therapy such as:
muscle mobilisation, myofascial trigger point therapy. I have experience
of using electrotherapy (EMS, FES, interferencial, laser, TENS) to
accelerate healing and reduce sweeling.
The aim of treatments was to speed the recovery process, to decrease
pain, to increase strength, to restore normal movement and to increase
independence. Part of my role included multi-professional working; I
made referrals to GPs, OTs, nurses, social workers, speech and language
therapists.
I welcome the opportunity to attend an interview to discuss my
application further, as I am keen to find an agency where I will be able to
continue to increase my work experience and develop my abilities.
