INTRODUCTION
The professional career development is the procedure of career planning & development
that involves thoughtful self-assessment, with preliminary employment strategies. It is about of
learning new skill which helps in enhancing present career opportunities. The career
development is series of activities in life-long process for the development of one's career that
involves defining of new goals & acquiring skills for achieving them. Whereas professional
development defines the process of determining goals and learning new skills which help in
growth and success at work (Jafari Pazoki, and Alemi, 2020). This also allow employees to be
more aware of changing trends and directions in industry. The report is based on personal
reflection on the role play and career development planning through application of reflective
cycle in order to have understanding of skills, strength and areas for the further development.
Further, personal action plan is developed. In addition, personal reflection on role play is
incorporated under 'recruitment and selection' to have focus on skills & skills gaps, career goals
and own experience.
MAIN BODY
The role played by me is of team leader in which I was responsible to lead and manage
the team. In team leader my responsibilities are to communicate goals, organise work and
solving problem. Being team leader, I was required to manage performance and motivate the
team for having effective working. I was curious to take advantage of this opportunity as to have
understanding of entire recruitment process in suitable manner. My career development planning
was in human resources in which I want to develop my career by organising my career goals
(Jiang, Yand et.al., 2021). To develop my career in HR I have learn and studied course about
human resources that helps me in gaining knowledge, skills etc. The reflection is provided by the
use of Gibbs model that will help me career planning along with develop the required skills to
get success. To enhance my skills and capabilities I will conduct personal SWOT analysis which
enables me to identify the skills in which I am lacking that is needed for my professional career
development in the field of HR and helps me in playing effective role.

is to recruit and selecting. As I want to develop my career in HR it is required to have knowledge
and skills related to several HR aspects so that I can develop by profession. The role-play of
team leader helped me in developing my leadership skills which helped me in the development
of my HR profession while recruiting and selecting candidates. I got the knowledge of recruiting
candidates by taking interviews. However, I believe that the recruiter and his ability to assess the
