INTRODUCTION
Professional development is concerned with variety of advanced learning intended to
improve skills and attribute for gaining competencies and effectiveness. In the current era,
competition has increased which require individual to pay attention on developing effective
professional career by eliminating lacking areas to gain competencies.
MAIN BODY
Reflection on professional development for improving performance for career growth
Gibbs is one of reflection model that is related with having six stages for exploring an
experience (Gibbs' Reflective Cycle, 2020.). This stages includes description, feelings,
evaluation, analysis, conclusion and action plan. I have performed different job roles in the
distinct companies which has allowed me to gain the practical exposure about different aspects.
I have participated in the market division for sales & trading for particular period. In this job I
was responsible for responding to proceed quote requests, understanding clients’ requirements,
ensuring documentation to trade, resolving and settlement issue, building relationship and
pitching ideas. In addition to this, as investing banking in Citi bank, the job description which I
have to completed is managing merger & acquisition, financial advising, handling interest
conflicts, researching monetary aspects. I have received opportunity to work in human resource
department that aids in planning, recruiting, selecting, performance management, learning &
development, functional evaluation, reward planning, ensuring employee participation, etc. were
m responsibilities. Job Morgan as being international organization has given me experience of
role regarding markets virtual where I had to pay attention on different activities. This comprises
preparing prospects clients profile, analysing current market environment, understanding trade
execution & post trade cycle and delivering client pitch (Dillahunt and Hsiao, 2020). The other
job description that has been performed by me involves global banking & market player in
HSBC firm, where I have to give emphasis on practices such as handling sales & trading
activities of both primary and secondary market.
In my opinion, the feeling of working in different established organization is highly
enthusiastic and motivating. I felt that grabbing such golden opportunities of working in
different successful companies has added distinct set of attributes and skills in me. There is
requirement of distinct set of tactics and attributes for performing in human resource and
marketing trading departments. This has been served as good way of managing my
