LO 1
1.1 Importance of continuously improving own knowledge and practice and that of the
team
It is very essential in my opinion to develop and improve knowledge to team and health
caretaker to increase quality of services to patients (Tan and Chou, 2018). I think management
of all the care taker in the health care industry with effective training will provide them with
better knowledge to handle to activities and decrease their dependency on their seniors. I also
think it is very essential for me to develop effective workforce training and development
planning by analysing all potential of the workforce of my organization. This will help me to
facilitate safety and security of employee and patients with better understanding to make
decision effectively. Continuous improvement helped me to gained better vision to become
effective in performing all the activities and fulfil my responsibility as a care manager in health
care organization. As a management member it is my duty to be energetic and alert to make
decisions to support staff and provide them with better solutions to increase their performance
improve service quality for patients effectively. I also have to influence my staff to motivate
them in accepting change in the organization and accept training and development and this can
onl be possible when I am increasing my knowledge continuously. due to rapid change in
corporate structure and needs and wants of population the value of work changes and impact
the performance of staff negatively. I need to analyse effective process for developing quality
learning cycle in which I enjoy and also not feel pressurized. By learning in fun way I can also
stabilize my mental status to make effective decision to develop and train my staff in health
care organization.
1.2 Importance of reflective practice in improving performance and the use of models to
support the reflective practitioner
I have understood that reflective learning increases my knowledge from my own experiences to
make effective decisions to increase quality of services in my organization effectively (Egan,
Maidment and Connolly, 2018). By using Kolb's reflective learning cycle I gained information
that it helps to develop skills and knowledge with experimental learning whereas Gibbs is a six
stage model which helps to increase the insight and personal development by repeating the
same task effectively. From the learning I understood that there is a positive relationship
between professional and responsible as care manager to provide effective services to my

patients and treat them with full liability. I faced many issues while performing reflective
learning due to lack of proper skills and information. Reflective practice provide effective
understanding about all the factors which have been experienced by me to develop informed
learning and attain potential to manage staff in heath care organization. It helps me to
understand what I feel while performing the task and analyse them according to the resources I
used to determine my performance in the previous task and develop effective strategies to
increase my performance. Reflective learning also helped me to increase the efficiency to
develop personal and professional development plan according to activities performed to
increase required skills of me and my team effectively. Innovative thinking is encouraged in
this reflective practice to become more successful. I identified that I am ineffective in some of
the leadership skills and I need to work in those skills to evolve better care manager.
1.3 Mechanisms and resources that support learning and development in adult care
settings
I think it is very essential for me to ascertain the resources of training employees in adult care
setting to provide better care services to old people. It is the second childhood which needs to
be nurtured very patiently (Lourenço and Mano, 2017). I had to analyse the financial sources
from internal and external environment which help to increase the professional development
process effectively. By using digital tools and books and other techniques to develop better
communication between professional ad service users. With the help of coaching and e-learning
it will help care takers to increase their efficiency to provide effective services to Dyslexia
patients and reduce language barriers . There are many resources which can be used to increase
the learning of myself and my staff. As there are many cases in the health care industry about
adult abuse by care takers which impacted the quality and goodwill of all the organization.
Digital technology and other resources like awareness campaigns of for care takers ad senior
citizens will help to increase their knowledge about all the process to protect themselves and
increase the ethical and moral value to reduce these types of incidents positively. There are
many factors which helps the staff to gain better insight about like peer shadowing in which
when any staff member is ethically and morally right and also have the ability to influence
other this will increase every employee's ability become more effective. This help to make
increase the performance of health care organization and create healthy work environment
effectively.
