My placement introduction
My placement was done at Hilton Cobham Hotel as housekeeping supervisor for two
weeks. Hilton Cobham hotel is hotel that is situated less than two miles from Cobham village of
London. Its Nature trails and Silvermere golf and leisure and the RHS garden Wisley are within
four miles of range. Weybridge train station is located at 15 minutes ride to London Waterloo as
it connected with it. It is also having a distance of 12 miles from the Heathrow airport. This hotel
is one of the greatest hotels in London. It provides lot of great amenities and services like free
parking, digital keys to its clients, no smoking rooms to its clients along with the facilities of
tennis, fitness centers and gyms and business centre rooms and meeting rooms and many other
basic facilities and services to its clients. My placement was done here for two weeks in this
hotel at the post of housekeeping supervisor. I gave my job interview and got selected at the post
of it as housekeeping supervisor.
Learning experience: what did you do? What did you learn from the sessions? How well do you
think you participated
I got to learn so many new things as I was providing training to other housekeepers and my
team. I was checking and looking all activities and also observed the performance of my staff
members. I participated fully and with keen interest in my job work. I learnt a lot of skills that
made me grow as a personal and professional employee and person as it developed a lot of skills
within me. There is growth and development of various leadership skills in me along with time
and team management skills also.

The front office operations and management within the hotel were great. I got to learn
various skills and with the help of that I got to maintain good and stronger relations with the
clients of the hotel and that helped in gaining more honest and loyal customers for the hotel. First
I was facing issues with handling team and other staff members according to my own working
and operating techniques and method or way.

you changed how you feel about your placement? If so, how? How do you want to be
perceived on placement
I learnt a lot of skills especially leadership skills along with the team and time management
skills. I achieved a great sense of belonging to people as I got to maintain and build stronger and
great and healthy relations with the clients for the hotel. I was good and I got to work with great
team and will in future seek to work with as such talented and great team members. I would love
to continue my career in the hospitality industry as it has given me a lot of confidence and other
skills in my own personal and professional growth and development.

to do or know before you start? What practical actions can you take before your placement
This was a very good experience I felled when I was doing this job and it help to learned
about time management that how work is necessary to complete in time so that it will be
effectively for management of an organization. I just have to check that all things are available in
sufficient amount so that the work will not affect and daily work will complete on time so that I
am able to do many more extra things in my life and gain extra knowledge. In organization
everything’s is depend upon the performance of employee on organization so I try my best to get
my work completed on time.

I try many organizations in hospitality management area but I get opportunity form Hilton
Cobham in UK and it is a hotel in UK and it is one of the best hotel chain management in the
world so I am grateful to start my career form this organization so that I am able to learn so many
things in my life which helped to become successful in my life. There are very well trained staff
is there who have expert in their field and they have sufficient staff for all department of an
organization.

In this organization I feel that their front office was to good and maintained by their
management and it will very attractive for organization towards in person minds. In first week I
have to have to observe everything which is happened in my surrounding so that I learned new
things which helped to perform my task more effectively on this organization. In this
organization I get good impression by process of organization because they arrange in very well
manner so that it become easy to do their work. I have worried about that no problem will be
raised which I can't handle so it effects my confidence level in organization.

From this job role I have learned so many things which help me in life to achieve my
objectives of my life. This is become more effective for my organization. In organization if
employee have potential and skills then only they will able to manage their task and duties which
they have to perform in organization. If have face nay problem in this, then I have to go and
discuss with my reporting manager and they will guide me to what to do in this situations. I
thankful for my placement tutor which give me this opportunity to my life to start next
generation of my life and become successful in my life and achieve my personals objectives.

From this job experience I have learned so many things which help me a lot to developed
my career and growth of my life. It is very helpful in for my career and persona; development of
skills which help me to apply in life to accomplished my goals and it help me to survive long
time in any organization. This job also learned me to know the importance of time management

in life if people is capable to manage their time in life then they able to manage their all hurdles
in their life which come when I want accomplishing my objectives in my life.
