My placement introduction
My placement was done at Hilton Cobham Hotel as housekeeping supervisor for two
weeks. Hilton Cobham hotel is hotel that is situated less than two miles from Cobham village of
London. Its Nature trails and Silvermere golf and leisure and the RHS garden Wisley are within
four miles of range. Weybridge train station is located at 15 minutes ride to London Waterloo as
it connected with it. It is also having a distance of 12 miles from the Heathrow airport. This hotel
is one of the greatest hotels in London. It provides lot of great amenities and services like free
parking, digital keys to its clients, no smoking rooms to its clients along with the facilities of
tennis, fitness centers and gyms and business centre rooms and meeting rooms and many other
basic facilities and services to its clients. My placement was done here for two weeks in this
hotel at the post of housekeeping supervisor. I gave my job interview and got selected at the post
of it as housekeeping supervisor.
Learning experience: what did you do? What did you learn from the sessions? How well do you
think you participated
I got to learn so many new things as I was providing training to other housekeepers and my
team. I was checking and looking all activities and also observed the performance of my staff
members. I participated fully and with keen interest in my job work. I learnt a lot of skills that
made me grow as a personal and professional employee and person as it developed a lot of skills
within me. There is growth and development of various leadership skills in me along with time
and team management skills also.

The front office operations and management within the hotel were great. I got to learn
various skills and with the help of that I got to maintain good and stronger relations with the
clients of the hotel and that helped in gaining more honest and loyal customers for the hotel. First
I was facing issues with handling team and other staff members according to my own working
and operating techniques and method or way.

This was a very good experience I felled when I was doing this job and it help to learned
about time management that how work is necessary to complete in time so that it will be
effectively for management of an organization. I just have to check that all things are available in
sufficient amount so that the work will not affect and daily work will complete on time so that I
am able to do many more extra things in my life and gain extra knowledge. In organization
everything’s is depend upon the performance of employee on organization so I try my best to get
my work completed on time.

is there who have expert in their field and they have sufficient staff for all department of an
organization.
