INTRODUCTION
The report will reflect my experience in Master of Business Information systems (MBIS).
This reflection will outline the valuable impact towards learning and gaining knowledge related
to information system and technology. This report will reflect how development of such sills and
knowledge can be helpful in career prospects in the field of information technology and
information system. This reflection outlines the achievements, learning, development and
experience which has been gained during the completion of MBIS course (Baldwin, M.
(2016)). This report will highlight my achievements, learning and experiences which have been
gained and self-developed with the help of self-audit which is used top determined the level of
understanding of the skills and knowledge in comparison to ICT skill set. The knowledge of ICT
skill set for a professional such as Business Analyst will be compared to standard and
benchmarks which are defined by authorities.
The report will address skill audit which will be helpful in determining the strengths and
shortcomings through which goals can be accomplished. The skill audit will be helpful in
determining and comparing the skills as per the planned standards through which further
improvement can be made. The knowledge of ICT skill set for a professional such as Business

Strongest skills
By pursuing Master’s in business information system, it supported me to develop my
skills and enhance my knowledge of information technology infrastructure and user interface
user experience design. Initially I was not aware about the approaches for using software and
hardware and this course has been the medium to gain knowledge enhance skills and
competencies. As a project relies on skill development in context of user experience view this
course supported me in improving my skills as per the requirements (Timor-Shlevin, S and
et.al (2021)). I focused on gathering knowledge through various mediums which supported in
successful execution of task for development of system and these mediums were helpful in
development of system dealing with software and hardware with the objective of meeting the
performance standards and requirements of the project. During the project I was able to learn
about different approaches of refining designs of system on the basis of client demand and
determining feedback and gain knowledge regarding different approaches of communication of
user centred designs which can be implemented to meet these responsibilities and
requirements.
Weak skills
With the help of skill audit, it can be seen that programming development of system
software are some of the scales weighted as shortcomings and requires more improvement.
Programming and development of system software requires high level of experience these skills
are more technical and must be enhanced which will support in dealing with issues in practical
terms. With the help of enrolling in some courses and getting certificate will be and helpful
approach for focusing on these areas and making separate time for practicing search skills
which needs to be enhanced as it will improve the capability of dealing with all requirements in
my professional domain . During the scores it was highly complicated to make time for this
subject which requires special attention as in trimester pattern there are the subjects which
needs to be focused and due to highly technical subjects, programming and development of
system software acted as my weakness.
Career prospects
After pursuing the course with good grades, I will have appropriate knowledge required
skill set and competencies which are essential for the analysis of functions performed within an

organisation, implementation of strategic process for business, management of risk and will be
able to perform all functions of business analyst. The skills and knowledge adopted and learned
during this course well help me in performing in dynamic business situations which will be faced
in my career path and this will involve various positions such as ICT, project manager CIO,
system analyst and many others. I will focus on enhancing my skills and knowledge through
continuous learning and development which will be helpful for meeting all the requirements as a
business analyst (Whitaker, L., & Reimer, E. (2017)). I will look at the requirements of skill
set for business analyst in job vacancy advertisement and will practice through where I can
engage in an internship which will act as foundation and stage for improving and shaping my
skills and knowledge through which I can effectively perform in my career and achieve greater
opportunities.
SMART objectives
According to me the target and objectives which needs to be achieved must be reliable
measurable and specific in order to enhance skills and become an expert as a business analyst
after completing the course. The goals and objectives which needs to be accomplished are-
I will enroll as an intern with a well-known reputed organisation which will be the base for
shaping my career where I can use my skills and knowledge which I have learned during my
course. With the help of internship, I can increase my grades and understand the practical
application of all the knowledge that has been gained throughout the course.
The major focus for my future is to get good working experience so that I can gain
knowledge from practical world and make my own space in highly competitive and dynamic
business environment.
Another goal is to get promotion and incline in salary which will be helpful in making a
progress in my career and meeting all self-esteem and self-actualization needs.
CONCLUSION
From the above reflection report, it can be concluded that the report outline skills,
knowledge and competencies which are helpful in becoming an effective and efficient Business
Analyst with the help of the following degree. By pursuing the Masters in Business Information
System will be helpful in finding a good job role and position within a well known and wealthy
organization through which career can be set and continuously developed. This course is

helpful in meeting all requirements of an organization through which they can gain insight of
business environment in which they are operating and understand the market demands through
which timely consumer demands can be met and business can enhance their profitability. This
course has helped in enhancing my required skills through which I can get various employment
opportunities.
By pursing the course in information system, I was able to enhance my skills, expand my
knowledge base and supported in gaining proper knowledge of the functions and technologies
which are used by business. With the help of skill audit program, a person can determine their
strengths and weakness through which they can plan innovative and effective strategies that
can support them in enhancing their skills and shortcomings and maximize their performance
standards.
