INTRODUCTION
Professional practices are defined as the process are the phenomena where the knowledge
and competencies of one individual is used for serving the learning to others in the specific
profession keeping the learning going (Ben-Arye and et. al., 2016). Professional practices include
number of professional activities that are related with education and training sector along with
respective roles and duties associated for those who are working and earning their livelihood
through the sector. Education and training plays a very crucial and important role in an individual’s
life and their day-to-day activities which they perform and which takes them towards their future
career path. Education and learning is a part of individual’s life for keeping students and learners
informed about respective topics and agenda with the aim of making then to respective goals and
improve the skill sets in the most productive and efficient manner available.
The present report and the assignment talks about the professional practices involved in
educational and training sectors. The first part of the project discusses the concept of
professionalism and dual professionalism in education and training sector. Moving forward in the
assignment three external factors that are political, social and economic are discussed in order to
find out about how they impact the educational policies that are being developed and practiced in
the industry and learning sector. Moreover, the impact of current educational policies on curriculum
and different related practices are also discussed and evaluated. Also, organisational requirements
and expectations on the curriculum practices in the teaching area are examined. Lastly, in the report
quality assurance and improvement arrangements of the organisation that is a college are examined.

1.1 Define the concept of professionalism in education and training sector.
Professionalism in the teaching and the training sector means, setting up of the highest
standard for teaching and training in their professional career (Ciucci and et. al., 2018). It consists
of practical insight, abilities, well-mannered conduct that is excepted from an individual. The term
professionalism is entangled in with the training, lead or disposition of any individual in the
workplace or a business climate. The primary objective of professionalism is to help instructors and
mentors for advancement and improvement in their abilities. The teachers and trainers have
information and knowledge with respect to the curriculum educational program. The three segments
of professionalism skill are knowledge, abilities and qualities and characteristics. Knowledge mean
when an expert needs to assemble topic skill alongside educational experience. In addition, an
expert is additionally needed to comprehend the students and the way that students can undoubtedly
comprehend. A specialist is expected to have a few abilities like interpersonal abilities,
collaboration, flexibility, inventiveness, and so forth as far as qualities, an expert is needed to be

responsible for their activities, keep up quality norms and timescales, work morally, trustworthiness
and honesty etc. The main role of professionalism in the education and training area to improve and
build up the abilities and individual norms (Dodillet Lundin and Krüger., 2019).
It has comprised of trustworthiness, abilities, amenable conduct that is excepted from a
person. The professionalism skill term is locked in with the practice, Dual professionalism in
instruction and preparing is called when educators or mentors have professional mastery, alongside
preparing or instructing ability. Instructors and coaches are the ideal instances of double
professionalism skill. At the point when an expert instructor consistently gives underlines on both
tuning in and talking. This sort of expert educator actually has astounding relational abilities,
including verbal and non-verbal correspondence (Bologna, Trede and Patton, 2020). There are some
more expert abilities like initiative, tutoring project the board, conflict goal, etc. There are a few
educators in the English offices whose attributes comprise of the relative multitude of referenced
abilities. For an expert instructor, there ought to be some expert qualities and traits, for example,
social equity, trustworthiness, trust and regard, responsibility, and so on functioning as a teacher,

training and the education sector means that the teacher or the instructor is having their own

Latham and Kandzari., 2018). There are various concepts that are related to the professionalism in
the education and the training sector. Some of these concepts are as follows :
1.1. Having professional knowledge one of the major concept related to the
professionalism in education is that they are having professional knowledge in them in their
respective fields (ENACHE and et. al., 2019). The professionals are having a professional
knowledge all about their field. For example a teacher is having all the professional knowledge
regarding the subject that they are teaching.
1.2. Ethics – another one of the concept that is related to the professionalism is that the
the professional are having their own work ethics. The professional everywhere are having their
own ethics in relation to the work that they are doing. For example – if the teacher or the instructor
are not following their own ethics then it is going to have very bad impression on the students.
1.3. Professional skills – the professional will be having their own professional skills that
is required to fulfil their duties. The teacher or the instructor while they are giving the training to
someone, will be having their own type skills. For example a sports instrutor will be providing the
training to the students in the way that they can develop their skills.
1.4. Concept of leadership – according to this concept the professional that are their in
the education and the training sector will be having leadership skills. The teacher or the instructor
will have to lead and manage different students (Eve and Phillips, 2019).

The primary objective of professionalism is to help educators and coaches for advancement
and improvement in their abilities. The educators have information and comprehension with respect
to the instructive educational program. A specialist is expected to have a few abilities like relational
abilities, collaboration, flexibility, inventiveness, and so forth As far as qualities, an expert is

trustworthiness and respectability, and so on For being professionalism skill, an expert is needed to

influence the acts of work, for example, meeting association strategies, affirming the legitimate
necessities for giving including learning environment and furthermore to advance fairness. It will
assist with exhibiting the strategies and methodology of instructive foundations like for good
practices through their training calling esteems. There are also various type of values that are
influencing the professional values, some of these are as follows:
1. ensuring fairness – the main role of the teacher is that they are ensuring that whatever
they are doing is fair and square. All the acts and the teaching of the teacher must be done with
ensuring fairness. The decision that the teacher is taking shouldn't be biased.
2. Dress and act appropriately – the way the teacher or the instructor is dressing is going to
impact the mind-set of the student very much. The teacher or the instructor have to follow the rule
or the act that is acceptable by a professional (Horton, 2019).
Authoritative approaches and techniques help the staff individuals to recognize the
