INTRODUCTION
Academic skills are the behaviour which is learned by the students while studying at their
college or universities. This helps the students to get success with respect in their higher
educations (Chamberlain, 2017). It helps in developing the different strategies and approaches
which are used in order to learn their academic skills. This easy report is being discussed about
the academic plagiarism and their relevancy in professionalism in an business environment.

Academic Plagiarism means when anyone uses to represent the work of another as their
own in the original author's language only. The plagiarism is treated as violation of the integrity
of an academic it is considered as an academic misconduct and punishable under the law (Raju,
2017). It is the modern concept in the academics was innovated with the Romantic movements. It
is different from the concept of copyright infringement as when the copyright is violated then it
is punishable before the court. The law with respect to plagiarism is differ from country to
country (Cooksey and McDonald, 2019). With respect to the legal aspects this concept is not in
existence in the legal sense but the law says that when someone has used the work of another
person in order to gain some academic profits that will be amounts to an fraud. This is not
specified in any of the statutes or common laws. It is treated as the unfair competition and act as
the violation of the doctrine of moral rights (Durak and Saritepeci, 2018). The people are allowed
to read the work in order to gain knowledge from it or to resolve the issues which are faced by
them the person who is taking the work of an original author must give them the credit of their
work. The false claim of authorship also amounts to an plagiarism (Raines and et. al., 2017). This
is considered as the moral offence against the one who is publishing the work of an original
author in order to gain some profits in terms of money or an reputation. It is considered as the
academic dishonesty or an fraud and the person who is committing it are subject to an academic
censure. There are several software which are developed by the software developers in border to
determine the amount to plagiarism in an documents (Kikas, Soodla and Mägi, 2018). The
extend of this is when the students use to pay for the work of another student and presented that
as their own work is known as contract cheating.
