with this, Challenges and measures of security and privacy that would taken while using internet
will going to be discuss.
Compare and Contract between the positive and negative aspects of the internet
Internet is globally connected network system which use TCP/IP to transmit data through
several media. It is network of worldwide exchange which involve public, private, business,
academic and government networks as well all these are connected through guided, wireless and
fiber-optic technologies. In simple term, internet refers to worldwide communication system and
it is the tool which help in sharing information in easy manner. In today's competitive world,
internet is public, cooperative as well as self-sustaining facility which is accessible by hundred of
million people at worldwide level. Development within information technology mainly internet
has their positive as well as negative impact to society (List of 10 Positive and Negative Effect of

Internet make research easy because there is no requirement of visiting libraries for

in easy manner. Male and female who are not living with their parents can easily contact with
their parent online by using Skype and Gmail. Moreover, individual can send picture, emails as

well as face to face communication all these make staying away from home easier. Along with
this, now through internet it is possible to earn by sitting at home by writing, filling up forms or
by clicking on advertisement in the internet. There are several companies who started their
online business like eBay, Etsy and Amazon. Although, internet made business transactions
faster because seller and buyers now a days transact online by using facilities such as Paypal and
credit cards (Ellaway And et.al., 2015). As well purchasing products are also become easy and
there is no need to visit physical store as product can be selected online and shipped on the
address given by buyers. GPS technology is also part of internet which help in gaining map of
particular location and it will provide direction almost for every place in world. Although,
individual can quickly route location as well as find business related to particular area or services
which individual need. Now a days search engines also become smart and they use location for
providing better results.
Apart from all these positive aspects internet have some negative also like now a days
children, youngsters as well as adults are getting addicted to online games. This give negative
impact on health as well as eyes because they continuously play games on mobile, laptop,
computer and tablets. Now a days people are getting more and more addicted towards social
media network or any online activity and forget that some real people are also in their
surroundings who need their attention as well as have socialization need also. Increasing use on
internet gives importance to virtual friends instead of real ones. Moreover, people who are more
in touch with internet forgotten how to interact with friends, family and relatives. By using
internet several illegal activities are taking place now a days such as illegally download music as
well as any other copyright material at free cost (Gandini, 2016). Which give negative effect on
music industry and result in various lawsuits. Thus, internet have its positive as well as negative
impact on society or individual. So it is important to minimise negative effect and take positive
as opportunities. Furthermore, people do online shopping by making payment through their
credit or debit card which may result in some sharing personal information on internet. As well it
result in loss of money and their account information with other people.
Challenges and measures of security and privacy that would taken while using internet
Security and privacy challenges are one of the major issue now a days while using
internet. Thus, it is necessary to understand these challenges for avoiding some risk related to
personal security as well as privacy. Major security and privacy issue facing by people is related

to data protection because ratio of hacker is increasing day by day which require proper security.
Although, loss of internet of things device generate large amount of data which result in high
level of risk in terms of data and identify theft, device manipulation, data falsification, IP theft,
network manipulation or any other cyber crime. Legal bodies, police and IOT manufacturers
have to figure out effective Internet of thing securing solution for protecting individual security
as well as privacy. Apart from this, children are having safety and privacy issue through internet
because they don't understand social boundaries and put some personal information online which
create awkward moment for individual. Moreover, cyberbullying is most common threat
individual may face when they are using internet mainly on social networking sites because on
these sites false rumours related to anyone is very easy. Although, people may post anonymous
post related to someone on several sites without disclosing their own information or identity.
Cyberbullies send insulting or hateful messages to their target, spread lies about them as well as
posts nasty comments on social networks making the bullied unable to face the society. There are
some more challenges also named as phishing, Tricking people into clicking malicious as well as
dangerous links is named as Phishing. Cybercriminals may utilise such type of technique for
gathering personal information related to the individual and after that blackmailing them into
doing something illegal as well a demand for some amount of money from them.
