Introduction
A business student has to be more skilled and professional in his study life. Study life is
career preparation. Professional and study skills are much needed in future career life.
So, student life is the best time for taking preparation. To be a skilled person is not so
easy. It is a lifelong process. But a student should focus on it in student life to do a
better career. My goal is to be a good business researcher. According to John
Whitmore, to be a good business researcher a student should be skilled in time
management, teamwork, learning, leadership management, presentation,
communication and so on. I have to be skilled in these sectors to be a good business
researcher. I want to be a business researcher because in this sector I can learn more
about business problems and solutions, learn more about companies and business
organizations. I can innovate many new ideas for the welfare of the business sector. But
to be a good business researcher I have to be skilled in different sectors. It is a lifelong
process. But I have to focus on it more in the student life. After that, I can make a
successful career in business research. To be a good researcher I have to be skilled in
presentation, time management, teamwork, leadership management, communication,
learning skill and so on. I have learnt many of these in the last coaching session last
week. But it is an ongoing process (French et al., 2020).

Skills Needed for Acquiring Goal
The goal is to be a good business researcher. To be a good business researcher a
student has to be skilled in time management, leadership management, teamwork,
communication and presentation. He needs to have a good learning capacity. He or she
should be more innovative. Because there are many problems and case studies in
business research. So he or she has to be more innovative. He or she needs to think
well. So he or she must have a well-thinking capacity. According to John Whitmore, he
needs to think properly and he can solve any business problems. If a can student
achieves these skills he or she can touch his or her goal very easily. But he or she
needs to work hard in all these sectors (Traverso et al., 2019).
Way to Acquire the Skills
To acquire the skills is a lifelong process. But a student should take necessary steps
and measures to acquire the skills in student life so that he can use them in his or her
job life and enlighten his or her career. To acquire these skills a student should do some
specific courses on these skills. In the courses, a student can practice presentation
skills at various times. Moreover, he can also learn how to manage time very efficiently.
Students may be given various tasks to do them and give them a time duration.
Besides, in the courses, they can work in teams and learn to do teamwork properly. He
or she can learn communication very easily during the practice session of teamwork
and presentation. He or she may also learn leadership management during doing team
works. So students who want to acquire the skills should complete some specific
courses on these skills (French et al., 2020).

Appropriate Method of Skill Acquisition
There are many methods of skill acquisition. The skills are good communication,
teamwork, leadership management, time management, presentation, learning capacity
and so on. There are many methods to achieve them. But I think I can achieve them by
doing specific courses on the skills. In the courses, there are many practice sessions,
case studies, teamwork, problem-solving session etc. In these sessions, I can practise
these skills more. My communication skill, presentation skills, leadership management
skills will increase while doing teamwork. Practice sessions will increase my
presentation skills. While doing practise sessions I will learn to work time efficiently. I
can be more innovative in the practice sessions. So, doing courses is the best way for
me to acquire the skills such as communication, presentation, leadership management,
time management, teamwork etc (Ribner et al., 2017).
Importance of Life Long Learning
Acquiring different skills is a lifelong process. If a student does some courses on
specific skills such as communication skills, presentation skills, leadership
management, time management, teamwork etc he will become skilled in these sectors.
But if he or she cannot practise those skills he or she will lose his skills concerning time.
But if he or she can practice these skills in his future job life he or she can increase
these skills more and more. He or she can be proficient in these skills. His or her
capacity to think, capacity to innovate something, capacity to solve problems will
increase more and more. He or she will be a good business researcher and can
understand the business world properly. He or she will solve problems and give various
solutions to business problems. But he or she do not practice these skills he or she will

lose them frequently. So the skills such as presentation skills, communication skills, the
capacity of problem-solving, learning skills, leadership management should be practised
more and more throughout life. These are lifelong processes to learn and to be
proficient (Traverso et al., 2019).
Already Achieved Skills
I have done many practice sessions in the previous week. I have learnt how to manage
time properly during the study, academic research and so on. I have also learnt how to
manage a team as a leader. I have learnt how to be more efficient in works and tasks. I
have learnt how to give a presentation properly, how to communicate nicely with team
members and other people. The practise sessions make me more skilled in different
sectors such as leadership management, time management, teamwork, presentation
and so on. The last coaching was so much useful for me to be a skilled person. It
makes me more skilled in my professional and academic life (French et al., 2020).

Importance of Skills
To be a good researcher a student or a professional person has to be skilled in
leadership management, time management, teamwork, presentation and
communication. Presentation skill is very much important to present the findings of a
research. If a researcher cannot present his or her findings properly the result of the
business research will not be useful to anyone (Ribner et al., 2017). Communication
skill is very important during business research. A researcher has to communicate
properly with his team members to do the tasks properly. Moreover, during data
collection or information collection a researcher has to be much communicative. So
communication is a very important skill for a business researcher. Besides, leadership
management is also important for business research. Most of the business research is
done by teamwork. And teamwork always needs a good leader. A good leader can lead
a team well and the team will do the works properly. So, leadership management is so
much important in business research. Time management is also important in business
research. The tasks, data collection and other works should be done time efficiently.
The tasks should not be taken a long time. So a researcher must have to know how to
manage his time properly. To be a good researcher, a student or a professional person
must have to achieve these skills. Otherwise, he or she cannot reach his or her goal. If

he or she can increase these skills he or she will be a good business researcher and
make his or her career in business research (Traverso et al., 2019).
Evaluation of Current Attainment
My current attainment is much good. Day by day I am becoming a skilled person and
increasing the possibility to reach my goal. I am now good at presentations. I can
present something very well. I can communicate with other people and team members
in a fine way. They understand my language and what I am saying. I am also doing
good in teamwork. I can follow my leader's advice. But I have to do better in leadership
management. My leadership management is not so good. I should more work on time
management also. I cannot work efficiently. I have to learn to work more efficiently
(French et al., 2020).
Conclusion
Making oneself skilled in various sectors is a lifelong process. But I have done many
practice sessions to be skilled in presentation, communication, leadership management,
time management and so on. If I can be skilled in these sectors I can reach my goals. I
am good at teamwork, communication skill, presentation but I am not doing well at
leadership management and time management. I have to be more efficient in time
management. I have to be more skilled in leadership management. If I can be skilled in
leadership management and time management I will reach my goal soon. So my
weakness in time management and leadership management make a burden in reaching
the goal (Ribner et al., 2017).
