INTRODUCTION
Nursing is defined as the profession that assumes the responsibilities that focus on the proper
and continuous care of the sick, injured, and disabled people. Nursing is also a duty of
accountability that encourages individuals, families, and communities in the medical and
community setting. Nurses usually communicate with the patients to understand them and take
proper care and monitor pharmacological intervention. The nurses must be empathetic,
compassionate, and lastly, understand their patients well. The professional nursing values are
generally defined as an essential nursing principle of human dignity, integrity, altruism, and
justice that specifically serves as a framework for the standards (Better, safer regulation, 2021).
The nurses take care of patients in a non-discriminative way by taking legal, ethical, and
professional ideas. The report is based on the statement which is refer by NMC 2018. The
statement is follow under legal, professional and ethical aspect which play role with reference
with nurses and midwives. The professional, honest, and legal aspect is derived from the
rationale of the standard promoted by the nursing health community and national health service
for patient support and care. The Nursing and Midwifery council 2018 provide various means
that work as regulations to provide ethical and legal aspects for nurses working in a healthcare
setting. The discussion focuses upon Nursing and Midwifery Council codes that specifically
involve a role in protecting the public's well-being and health. It generally sets the standards of
education, training, performance, and conduct so that midwives and nurses can effectively
deliver elevated quality care to their patients (Cithambaram and et al., 2021).
MAIN BODY
The NMC code 2018 states people's interest by focusing on nursing and midwifery service
as a priority. At the same time, they provide proper care and support to the patient while
maintaining the dignity and respect that is associated with the individual. Moreover, it also
protects the right and promotes healthy behaviour while maintaining the respect of patients
ethically as well as promotes non-discriminative aspects that render the quality of health.
Overall, the statement's follows the ethical, legal and professional viewpoint that makes a stand
