Professional identity can be defined as it is about the individual roles, responsibilities, values
which needs to be consistent with practices accepted by their specific profession. It is kind of
identity which is all about the individual-concept based on attributes, motives, experiences,
beliefs and values. In this report, the analysis has been done on the key benefits of the on-
going professional and personal development and also about the general competencies and
skills. (Jinwei, W. A. N. G., 2018)The research has also been done on the learning theories,
approaches and also about the own skills and competencies. The analysis has also need to be
done on the development plan. The chosen company is Marriott International which is a very
big brand. It is the most powerful portfolio within the industry. The company was founded by
J.Williard and Alice Mariott. People are experiencing and expanding their world through
their thirty brands and seven thousand plus properties across one thirty one countries and
territories.

In the company, there can be various stakeholders which includes shareholders, hotel
owners and franchisees, employees, customers, suppliers, communities, government or trade
associations. For their professional development it is important to have some qualities and
skills for their further development.(Harris, J. and White, V., 2018). Due to on-going
development of stakeholders of Mariott International, every stakeholders get developed in
every terms whether its is regarding the investment policy, attracting new customers,
managing their suppliers, enhancing their new skills. Because every stakeholder is
developing themselves in every aspect whether it is about their pricing strategy, their smart
move, deals with the government and future plans also. For the continuous development,
engage with customers and associates through internal management processes. In terms of
professional development of their employees, the skills and knowledge has been provided by
the company for the development of their employees contribute in achieving objectives of the
company. (Bettini, and et.al., 2017). Communities are taking interests in the community
engagement programs, fundraising, volunteering, disaster relief and in kind donations.
