Introduction
Main object of this project is to better understand the concept of an organisation. An
organisation is system which is created for the achievement of common goal. An organisation is
created by a group of people who are join together for the achievement of common goal. An
organisation is divided into various departments such as finance, marketing, production, human
resource department who are perform different job role but all work towards the achievement of
common goal. This report is based on the case study of Nandos. It is a South African fast food
chain which is specialises in Portuguese- African food, which include its signature flame-grilled
peri-peri style chicken. It was founded by Fernando Duarte and Robert Brozin in 1987 with
headquarter is in Lorentz Ville, Johannesburg, South Africa. Company operate its business
around 1000 outlets in more than 35 different countries. This report will include the scope, size
and types of an organisation and the interrelation between different functions of organisation
structure. Other than this it include the impact the macro environment on the business operations
of business. This report will also include the influence of globalisation on organisation strategies
and decision making.

Explain different type, size and scope of the Nandos
The concept of organisation is different from organisation to organisation on the bases of
type, size and scope of business. An organisation is describe as the structure or group which is
set up with the objective to achieve a certain goal. In this modern world there are different type
of organisation which are created for different purpose and fulfil different requirements of
society in which they conduct their business activity. There are two type of organisation who
operate their business with different goal. First one is for profit organisation whose main
objective behind set up the organisation is to generate maximum profit. This type of organisation
mainly operate in the private sector. While the other one is not for profit organisation, which is
set up for the purpose of other than financial gain. This type of organisation will set up for public
welfare (Ijdens, and van, 2018).
