Defining project quality
The quality of the project can be described as the product as well as service which has
the capability of the performing for obtaining the satisfactory results and also it should be
suitable for the mentioned project (Khudia et al., 2015). Moreover, the quality management
refers as the processing of designing as well as planning or implementing the project which
has to be effective proportionating the aim of the project objectives along with their
performance. If the project will execute with high quality, therefore it does not consists of
any defects and also it does not require of any additional cost. But if the project is grounded
on low quality, therefore it needs more cost to prevent it from risk.
Tools and techniques for quality management
To measure the quality of the project, there subsists several tools and techniques
requiring for measurement purpose of project quality. The effective tools and techniques of
the quality management are:
Cause-Effect diagram – There are another name of this diagram existing in this quality
management and that is fishbone diagram (Ingason, 2015). From this diagram, it helps to find
the reasons of the problem by which the quality of the project is hampered.
Control charts – The control charts are applied for illustrating the process stability. This
diagram shows the behaviour of the project over a certain period.
Flow charting – The flow chart helps to follow the overall progress of the project and also
determine the existing issue within the project by which the quality is vulnerable. This
diagram can be utilized for predicting the flaws in the project.
Histogram – Histogram presents as a graphical demonstration of measuring the quality of the
project and also this diagram is often called as column graph.
