Background of the case project:
This project report revolves around new project taken by Tata group which is largest vehicle
manufacturing company after Tesco. Company has taken many projects like discovering electric
vehicles, automated bikes and XUVs, innovative safety features in four wheelers and many
more. This time company has decided to build new plant or factory for producing more vehicles
and meet the demand of the market. Tata come with up with two alternatives either to buy
assembled parts or to manufacture itself at its own plant. First option was draw back by the
company for the reason of not compromise with its benchmarked quality and expensive project
while looking at long run of the business. Thus this case project is based on manufacturing new
production plant by Tata group.
Describe and discuss relevant quality standards and their role in
effective project management
Quality standards have their own role in assessing deliverable projects. This standard provides
the requirements for the following requirements: Quality management system requirements:
A) It needs to be confirmed that it has the ability to provide products and services that meet
customer requirements and enforce the requirements of laws and regulations.
B) Through the effective application of the system, including the process of continuous
improvement of the system, and requirements to meet customer requirements and applicable
laws and regulations (Badiru, 2018),
The objective is to increase customer satisfaction; all requirements specified in this standard are
universal and are intended to be applicable to different types of organizations, different sizes, and
the provision of different products and services.
Quality Management System and its process:
The organization shall establish, implement, maintain and continuously improve the quality
management system, including the process and interaction required by the quality management
system, in accordance with the requirements of this standard (Abdi, Taghipour and Khamooshi,
