CE 3.2 Organizational Background
This project was executed by Saudi ARAMCO organization and the contractor of this
project was Samsung. The subcontractor of this project was Al Husam General Contracting
LLC and it was located in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This project started from
February of 2015 and ended in February of 2016. Al Husam General Contracting LLC is the
subcontractor of this project and has a unique position to provide its customers with
outstanding products and services. It is the effect of continuous innovation and improvement
with high level of quality. The quality of life is improved by giving extremely higher value
solutions to protect the flow of energy and water. The organizational vision is simply to lead
the construction business and to be the leader in the proper construction of several
infrastructures. It is also leading in oil and gas industry and manufacturing pipelines that
include tank construction engineering works. This project was extremely important for my
professional career and I was happy that I was able to execute the project properly and fulfill
my responsibilities and duties perfectly.

CE 3.3 Project Background
CE 3.3.1 Characteristics of the project
This project of Riyadh Refinery Clean Transportation of Fuels started in the month of
February in 2015 and ended in the month of February in 2016. Construction and Procurement
of steel structure, underground and above ground, piping works for the Riyadh refinery clean
transportation project. The specification requirements for the underground piping works for
fiber glass pipe intended for use in gravity flow systems for conveying sewage, storm water
and some chemical and industrial wastes. All pipes, joints, fittings, couplings and spools
under the standards of ASTM D 3262. Pipe and coupling shall be filament wound using
polyster, vinylester or epoxy resin and fiber glass reinforcement.
CE 3.3.2 Objectives developed for the project
This project of Riyadh Refinery Clean Transportation of Fuels had some of the major
objectives. The objectives are given below:
 To transport clean refinery fuels.
 To maintain fuel quality.
 To inspect whether the project environment is safe or not.
CE 3.3.3 My area of work
This project helped me to expose an unbelievable journey of professionalism. I
received well appreciation from my team members and seniors and was associated from the
starting of the project until completion, testing and even commission of the same. My area of
work was to inspect the quality control of all the products and services. I ensured that quality
of services and products are up to the mark, so that the client is happy with our products.

CE 3.3.5 My responsibilities throughout the project
I had various responsibilities in this project. My main responsibilities included
checking and directing the plan and program of QA/QC and thus guaranteeing the fused
materials on the development ventures. Moreover, I even guaranteed that the work was
completed as needed in the agreement and met or surpassed the needed characteristics. I also
guaranteed the sufficient materials nature, workmanship and procedures in the undertaking
work.
My next responsibility was to help the Quality Control Engineer and Quality

CE 3.4.1 Engineering knowledge and skills applied in the project
Mechanical engineering skills and knowledge are important for this project and I have
applied all of them successfully. These core-engineering skills helped me to fulfil my
responsibilities with perfection. I have applied my power of critical thinking and problem
solving capabilities. Moreover, I have even used my computer and linguistic proficiencies in
this project.
CE 3.4.2 Identified issues and their solutions
3.4.2.1 Issues
Two important issues were faced in the project and they are given below:
i) The very first issue faced in this project was related to the design of the project. The
issues that were solely associated with design of piping, fabrication, installation, testing and
pre commissioning were faced in this project.
ii) The second issue that I faced in the project was in the initial stage of hydrostatic
test. The main problem was during evaluating the highlights for guaranteeing that the pipeline
was piggable. All the unpiggable components were ought to be evacuated or supplanted for
hindering the section of dewatering.
3.4.2.2 Solutions
I suggested relevant solutions to the problems. The solutions to the issues are as
follows:

i) For the very first issue, I received and answered site RFI’s problems during
erection. I resolved the issue of piping in time that was arising between the EPC contractors,
vendors, sib contractors and all other interfaces. I carried out final inspection of installed
piping and inline equipments, produced punch lists and also supervised the completion of
remedial works. I even tracked and reported to the installed commodities and monitored the
performance of the contractor for piping and installation system. I suggested to take
necessary actions for achieving the design goals of the company and thus meeting the
specification requirements.
ii) For the second issue, I had the strategy for expelling and spooling. It is a
component for hydrostatic weight testing and is utilized at highlights. Moreover, the valve
shell test weights might be tried for the new establishments. This would have recommended
high test weights and would have expected to be tried independently. When this test pressure
was built up, the administrators should consider that the greatest weight control point. All the
existing pipeline tests contained segments that were composed and introduced for meeting

CE 3.4.3 Plan to produce creative and innovative work
Our plan in this project was to provide best quality work in the most innovative
manner. We met up in daily meetings for discussing our shortcomings and also maintained
the quality of the products. As we had made this plan, our project was a huge success and we
did not face any losses.

CE 3.5 Project Review
CE 3.5.1 Project Overview
This project was executed with the purpose of producing refinery oil with good
quality. The owner of this project was ARAMCO, the contractor was TECHNIP and the sub
contractor was Al Husam General Contracting LLC. The location of the project was in
Riyadh. This project was also completed within budget and did not incur more expenses.
CE 3.5.2 My contribution to work
In this project, as a QC team we had to discover the deficiency of value administration
of big business. At that point, to gain ground through the exploration, to enhance the nature
of item, work, and administration, while reinforcing the overall quality administration
framework, I raised the general level of value administration. I even set up the corporate
picture and fortified aggressiveness, the nature of development that required consistent
