INTRODUCTIONProject management is an art of planning, managing, controlling, execution of project in aeffective and efficient way which helps in profitable and desired outcome. This report, is dealingwith food retailer company, ABC Ltd, which is focusing on doing the acquisition project with DEFLtd, objective of expanding their business in different areas of countries. As project has its specificcharacteristics, objective as well as the scope (Meredith and Shafer, 2017). The manager divides thetypical project into simple activities or task for completion of project effectively and efficiently. Asit also considers the work break down structure, Gantt chart and analysing the risk risk of projectwith its resolution. Along with this this assignment also includes the case study is also includedwhich considers and states that the project manages has effective skills and competencies forperforming their job roles as well as the project management process & project life cycle helps themanager in evaluating and monitoring each & every activities of the project. Also with this it dealsand considers the skills of project management and the process in context to leadership andadministration.TASK 11. a) key characteristics of project.The project is a planned programs which includes set of interrelated task and activities to beexecuted within the specific time period at a certain cost. In other words, the project is set to bespecific, finite activities or task which should be executed and get the effective, observable,profitable result within the specific time and cost within available resources. Some for the exampleof project are Developing a new product or service, constructing a building or facility, organizing ameeting, implementing a new business process (Walchand et. al., 2015).The project has several characteristics.Project are unique.Logical as it has certain life cycle.It also involves the risk.Limited resources are available (money, time, equipment).It has a specified purpose, rational and measurable purchase.Process helps in achieving the desired goals.

They are temporary in nature and has starting and ending date.b) purpose of the Project Initiation Document (PID)The PID, defines project and its activities which forms effective management as well ascontrolling process for completing the project properly & successfully. The main objective of PID isto ensure & records the effective required information which helps in defining the project planeffectively which helps in achieving goals as well as the objective project (Artto and Vartiainen,2016). It is proper document of project which is prepared by project manager before creating &executing the project. 2. a) Scope Statement for a project.The project scope is an activity which is executed for implementing & delivering theeffective result with specified project. The scope statement must include the following element suchas overall description of work, justification, product scope description, acceptance criteria,deliverables, project exclusion, constraints, limitation, assumptions, effective cost estimation.While expansion of business, it will enhance the profit margin of the business organizationand also it will give benefits to both country and society through giving employment to needy andhelping a country to improve the economic conditions of the nation (Vanclay and et. al., 2015).b) Work Breakdown Structure.The work breakdown structure is a process of dividing the work into different specificactivities or task. The work break down structure consists of programs, task, work packages, workunit, activities.
