P1 - Project lifecycle Phases
Project life cycle is having four steps to completing the project. These processes are must require
for the completion of a project. These are the steps:
Initiation
Planning
Execution
Closure
Initiation: it is a process in which project start with the basic requirements. It includes concepts
of the projects, and analysis about projects needs for completing it. It is a process in which all the
resources are collected for the project, which are helpful for calculating project cost and
estimated time of completion of project. It is a difficult task, because of project estimation. It is
must require for project initiation. This process is sowing all cost and time for project. A good
project manager is managing all the information in front of his mind. It is clear all the things
about the project, such as benefits of project.
Project planning: It is second step of project life cycle. In this process, team members are
selected for the project. They all are selected according to their knowledge and intelligence. They
are also set some milestones for completing project within time limit. They make strategies for
project planning, so it will finish on time limit.
Project Execution: In this stage, project is going for approval in front of senior managers and
other management personals. Project manager is ensuring about the project controls, and
working. Project is checked based on different criteria, such as timeframe, cost, and quality of
project.
Project Closure: This is last step of the project in which all the necessary requirements are
checked in the project. Team members are checked complete project and if some more fund
require for that project they put request for it.1
