1. Introduction
The paper reflects on the preparation of a “Statement of Work (SOW)” for the PHL
company that is one of the Australian construction company. The organization mainly aims to
enhance the customer as well as marketing service with the help of different multi-tiered
approach for attracting new customers and additionally getting more share in the market. In order
to achieve the objectives, the chief executive officer has mainly approved the redevelopment
project of the website that will further redevelop the present PHL website. It is found that SOW
document that was prepared includes scope of the work as well as other work requirements that
are needed for the website implementation project. In addition to this, the SOW document also
contains work schedule and pricing information for reflecting that the entire project will get
completed by 25th December 2019 by utilizing budget of around $265,000. Moreover, the SOW
acceptance criteria for the project is also discussed in the document.
2. Project background
PHL which is one the construction company in Australia mainly have a strategic aim and
as per which the organization wants to increase both the customer service as well as marketing
service. In order to do so, the organization needs to attract the clients towards their service which
will further be helpful in generating yearly revenue. In order to achieve the organizational
strategic objectives, the higher authority of the organization mainly decided to redevelop the
website. The main purpose of the redevelopment of the website to build a website that must
contain details including the client testimonials, information about new building development as
well as other types of industry information. In addition to this, the website must be designed in
such a way that they must provide the facility for delivering timely feedback for improving the

interaction with the construction of the company. As PHL does not have proper IT department
that can be able to design, implement as well as test therefore the work that is required to be done
needs to be outsourced. It is found that around $265,000 is needed for completing the website
redevelopment within 25th December successfully.
3. Project scope
Project scope is considered to the part of project planning which must determine as well
as document the list of a specific project deliverables, features, tasks, goals as well as the project
deadlines. The scope is categorized into in-scope and out-scope.
