1. Goals appropriate for the project and ways for measuring the project
progress
1.1 Project goals
The main goal of the project is to properly increase the food quality and the annual sales
of Royale Pizza shop. It is found that for successfully accomplishing the objectives, the
organization needs to take the work of store renovation by incorporating different types of new
equipment so that they can serve a number of food items to the customers by maintaining the
food quality which will further be helpful in gaining profitability of around 25%.
1.2 Ways for measuring project progress
The progress of the Royale Pizza shop renovation can be properly measured by using
different types of criteria which are illustrated below:
Capturing start and finishing points: If the starting as well as finishing date of each of
the project activities are captured then it
Tracking project: If the project goal gets tracked properly on regular basis then the
project manager will get update on the project progress which helps in analyzing the present
status of the project progress (Joslin & Muller, 2015).
Establish milestones and goals: If the project goals and project milestones are set from
the initiation phase of the project then it will be easy for the managers for analyzing the progress
of the entire project and thus the project progress can be measured effectively.

2.1 Project scope
Scope description
The project scope includes:
Creating new design of the shop for renovation
Procurement and delivery of the project
Undertaking renovation of the project
Undertaking installation as well as painting
Accomplishing the project goals within budget AU$40,000
Project deliverables
The project deliverables include:
Project plan
Blueprint of the design
Meeting minutes report
Project documentation
Status report of the project
Project acceptance criteria
Finishing the entire work as per the starting and finishing dates that was presumed

If the yearly revenue of the store gets increased by 25%
If the store is capable of renovating the shop by adding all the needed equipment’s for
increasing the menus which will be served in the Pizza store.
Project exclusion
The information about the constructors are excluded from the project
The project manager does not have proper information that if any training session will be
provided or not.
Project constraints’
It is found that both the installation as well as the construction stages of the project
cannot be undertaken at the same time
The electrical wires should be handled properly as it can cause a number of challenges
while removing the stairs.
Project assumptions
It is assumed that the workers will be able to complete the work of the project within time
and thus the penalty of AU$300 will not need to be paid
The project manager makes an assumption that the project will be beneficial for raising
the economic benefits.
2.2 Methods which are used in determining scope
The different types of procedures which are used in order to determine the scope of the
project are illustrated below:

Determining project needs: When a project manager have proper clear idea about the
different needs as well as requirements of the project then they are likely to set proper
benchmark from the starting of the project which further helps in understanding how the project
is helpful in enabling one to set the project objectives (Hornstein, 2015). Proper identification of
the project need helps in setting proper groundwork for executing the project and how they are
generally performed.
Confirming project goals: The basis of the scope helps in entailing the project
objectives and goals that further needs proper and SMART guideline. If the project objectives
are elaborated in the form of SMART guideline, then it will be quite easy for the project manager
to execute the project objectives successfully. Effective idea about the project objective helps in
developing the scope for the project quite effectively.
Developing WBS: WBS is considered as one of the most essential tools that is helpful in
defining the project scope (Todorovic et al., 2015). WBS helps in defining what is involved and
what is excluded within the project and it further helps in establishing proper interactions with
the client. Developing the WBS during the initiation phase generally helps in completing the
project accurately by following the scope that is developed and further helps in reducing risk by
minimizing the likelihood.
Analyzing expectation and acceptance: It is identified that successful projects are those
that takes into account proper satisfaction of the end users whether they are helpful in meeting
the expectations of the end users by properly accepting the product, processes as well as services
(Badewi, 2016). Proper information about the expectations as well as acceptance before
determining the scope of the project is necessary for identifying scope accurately such that the
project gets accomplished successfully.
