Assignment 1
INTRODUCTION
A project can be referred to as a series or sequence of tasks that have to be completed in
order to attain a particular outcome. In other words, a project can be referred to as any temporary
endeavor that has a specific beginning as well as end. The project is completed when the planned
outcomes or goals are achieved. Apart from, this, a project as a specific timeframe as well as
budget in which it has to be completed (Alasfour and Mirzal, 2021). A project manager is
responsible for overlooking as well as managing the different activities that are a part of the
project. Apart from this, the project manager is also responsible for implementing as well as
managing the different changes during the project as well as solving the conflicts that arise
during the project. Every organization undertakes different types of projects and it can be said
that when a project is completed in an appropriate manner, it helps the different parts of the
business to tun in a smooth manner. in the respective report, QAHE is an organization that
wishes to improve the spaces that are available for business students. The organization wants to
refurbish as well as redevelop its London Campus. The preference is for tiered seating that can
be retracted, together with acoustic panels on the walls to make it a better teaching space.
Project Initiation Document
A Project Initiation Document (PID) can be referred to as an important document that
describes the scope of the project, its management as well as overall success criteria that the
team members can go back or refer to during the project. Them project initiation document
contains all of the information about the project such as the scope, collaboration as well as
context. It can be said that a project initiation document is important and can guide the team
members for them different activities in an effective manner (Bakiri Asiibisa and Oduro, 2021).
Apart from this, the document also describes the criteria that is needed in order to complete the
project. The project initiation document for the respective scenario of QAHE is explained below

Objectives of the Project
Project objectives can be referred to as specific as well as planned results that have to be
achieved through the project implementation. The objectives for the project of refurbishment as
well as redevelopment of QAHE are mentioned as below –
To raise the overall standards and quality of the university by adding value
To create more space for students as well as lecturers
To provide the necessary comfort for students as well as lecturers during classes
To ensure that there is proper silencing of rooms so that the classes can be conducted
smoothly
To modernize the classrooms through modern equipment
Project Background
The primary purpose of this project is that the number of students at QAHE is constantly
growing. Taking this into account, the authorities of the institution are aiming to improve the
space that is available to business students through the refurbishment as well as redevelopment
of the teaching space (Björk and Hallberg, 2021). Therefore, in order to make the overall
teaching process comfortable for the students and allow them better visibility, tiered settings will
be used as a part of the project. Additional to this, acoustic panels will be installed in the
classrooms which will soundproof the classrooms.
