Project Summary
The administration of the roads and traffic management system are the basic necessity of the
developing countries. The designing of the intelligent and sensor system is the innovative
concept and technologies used for improving the traffic coordination of the automobiles. In
this paper, we are looking forward to design an innovative intelligence transport system for
approaching traffic congestion and coordination which helps in solving the issues accident
happening, infrastructure development, and monitoring of the traffic. The intelligent transport
system is helpful in bringing coordination and communication between the vehicles which
helps in achieving sustainability in the monitoring of the traffic flow and congestion control
over the roads so that experiences of the driving the vehicles can be enhanced.
Project Outline
Introductory background
The traffic management system can be improved by involving information and
communication technologies and sensor networks in the development and designing of the
intelligence transport management system. The safety and sustainability of the automobiles
can be enhanced by managing interlinking between the automobiles and running vehicles
over the road. The real time monitoring of the road activities helps in enabling automation in
the human intervention during driving the vehicles. It helps in improving the driver
experiences of driving the vehicles and reduces the risks of accident occurrences. The
operational services are designed for managing the systematic control on the road traffic.
Better coordination among the transport focuses on increasing the monitoring of traffic
control and minimizing the congestion of the automobiles. The proposed system will help in
solving the real life problems and maximising the system problems in the transportation
system. The planning of daily operations for controlling the traffic can be effectively done by
deploying the intelligent transport system. The productivity of the countries can be enhanced
by mobilising the traffic and managing continuous flow of automobile transport system. The
safety and security can be optimized by bringing coordination among the vehicles through
real time monitoring of the system.

Research Questions
The research questions which are designed for the completion of undertaken project are as
follows:
 How the real time monitoring and automation helps in managing traffic and
congestion control?
 How the traffic can be forecasted in the real time monitoring system
 What technologies and methods used for predicting the presence of traffic for
controlling the congestion over road?
Aims/ Objectives of the project
The aim of this paper is to design an innovative intelligence transport system for approaching
traffic congestion and coordination which helps in solving the issues accident happening,
infrastructure development, and monitoring of the traffic.
The objectives of the project are:
 To study the literature
 Finding out facts and figures from the literature undertaken
 Arrangement of interview, questionnaire, and surveys
 Understanding the benefits of ITS
 Identifying the services and advantages provided in transport management
 Analysing the services provided by the ITS
 Bringing automation in traffic control parameters
Significance and contribution to the study
The controlling of the traffic over the roads can be effectively done by the proposed system.
The communication between the traffics helps in controlling the transportation and
congestion issues which exist in the road management. The current road traffic management
system is not effective in managing the balance for maintaining the flow of automobiles. The
real time monitoring of the vehicles is not systematically done which creates the problem of
security and safety issues. The installation of the intelligent transport system helps in brining
communication in the interactive vehicles over the road (Otieno, 2014). The connection
between the vehicles optimizes the traffic control signals and wireless communication so that
chances of accident occurrence can be minimized and flow of traffic can be effectively
controlled. The sensor technologies are used for sensing the nearby presence of the vehicles.
