Executive summary
The essence of this project portrays construction of a residential building in New South Wales
Australia. In order to accomplish the project the literatures are reviewed to define the project
scope documentation and to present the project charter. The details of the construction shows
that the project should accomplished in 3 years with a budget ot more than $85,000. A WBS
based on project scope and a project charter is presented in this paper.

3PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Introduction
This project depicts a detail discussion regarding a residential building construction in
New South Wales (NSW), Australia. In order to design and construct a residential building some
project management practices are required to be considered by the project managers. It has been
found that if all these measures are properly followed by the project manager, stakeholders and
the other project associate then only the project outcome will be able to meet the expected
objectives and assumptions (Foy & Shahbodaghlou 2015, p:20). Due to the frequently growing
population the demand of house are also increasing in New South Wales.
In order to design and construct a residential building a project scope along with the
background of the project is elaborated in the below section. Apart from this during the
construction phase for reducing work load from the project team members a detail Work
Breakdown Structure is prepared by the project manager at the project initiation phase. Based on
demand and other features of the building the project manager should consider safety and other
facilities for the community of the residential area. A literature review has been conducted to
develop the scope and WBS of the project.

result many people are coming to this location to serve the job purpose. In order to accommodate
